I received my color, follow the directions exactly. After 30 minutes, I washed it out and nothing. Absolutely no color deposited on my hair. I am so disappointed

I have a hard time believing eSalon personalizes dye mixtures. I specifically detailed what I did not want from this dye and what I got was exactly that. The color didn't look like what I chose, and it was uneven on the roots and length. Don't use this.

I have a few grey hairs and i was very disappointed that after following the instructions to the letter the dye did not colour them. I had also requested a warm toned brown instead my hair came out near black.

I love how easy this was and everything catered for. The colour wasn’t right for me as trying to get red out of hair and now got red back. However the whole experience would be good for someone who isn’t trying to colour correct hair.

Je n'ai fait que la première coloration sur cheveux longs et malgré la fenêtre ouverte j'ai eu beaucoup de mal a supporter les vapeurs (d'ammoniaque je pense). Je dois faire les racines ce Week end et j'appréhende à l'avance, en sachant qu'il ne fait pas très chaud en ce moment, est ce que je laisse la fenêtre fermée et j'étouffe ou est ce que j'ouvre la fenêtre et j'attrape froid ?
Je ne vais pas pouvoir continuer et je serai obligée d'aller chez un coiffeur ou acheter un produit sans ammoniaque.

I’m very disappointed as the dye had no effect at all on my hair, it did however make my hair feel very nice and soft but that’s not what I paid for.

The end colour was lovely but the root colour was far to light, despite following all the instructions, the roots still remained a lot lighter than the ends. I have requested that my root colour be changed.

Was really looking forward to this deep brown and violet colour did all the steps was really careful to follow instructions and unfortunately it barely even covered my grey and there was literally NO violet colour that appeared not even on my roots . Very disappointed because it takes time to do and then to have nearly no success felt like a waste of time

Pleased with items in kit, decent gloves for a change! Good instructions However this product produced a good colour but at the expense of the condition of my hair. I have used many colours in the past and none have left my hair completely dry and parched like this one. I have tried various conditioning treatments since using the colour but to no avail. I have decided to cancel my plan if only I could find info on how to do that!!!

My first hair color left me with orange hair. I wanted a medium blond and it came out very orange that only got worse as the days went on. I was offered a free color change and decided to do so, and was assured it would not be orange/ red. I specifically asked for no reds in it at all. I tried the new color and my hair still has a lot of reds in it. It is very coppery and brassy looking. I’m very disappointed with my color again and regret dying my hair. I was really just hoping for a little fresher look when I started, and instead I now have hair I’m embarrassed about.
The hair dye itself did not damage my hair at all. I do like that about this product. My hair still feels very healthy after dying it twice in a row. I’m also glad there weren’t any strong odors when mixing and applying the dye. It seems like a quality dye, but it’s just so unfortunate the color was not what I wanted or requested at all

The dying process was very time consuming. In the end, I still had straggling grey hairs at the front over my face as well as stragglers throughout. I believe I did a good job saturating. Nobody noticed I had even colored my hair.

The hair color formula sent to me made my hair a bright, brassy orange color. It had no blonde at all, just orange, which I was trying to avoid any color that would make it brassy. The light pearl did not work.

My hair looks like a horrible red sofa. I can't even go out like this. Not sure how to fix it. I bought the brown copper and looks like a cheap temporary red farmacy color. I wish I could attach a pic to this review. I look like a clown and I did step by step.

My roots took the color beautifully and are the gorgeous copper color I wanted and grew up with. My ends didn't take any color and are the same brown with red showing through in the sun that I was trying to cover. (I have always had redish auburn hair naturally and switched it up and went purple. My job was not pleased so I went brown to cover the purple.) I'll keep trying because I love the copper.

It was too dark & it didn’t last past 10 washes

The color was darker than I wanted so the colorist has adjusted it. The solution was hard to get to come out of the bottle & was hurting my wrist squeezing it & it would come out in clumps so that part got really messy. I will just make those clothes my coloring hair clothes. But I had to cut the end of the bottle to get it to come out easier. Not a huge deal -but was a bit frustrating. The color between roots & the rest of my hair turned out well. My hair felt a bit dryer after the color- will try again to see if that is dry damage (more harsh on my hair than Clairol) or just a fluke. I would like to see how long this color lasts to see if it’s worth the cost. It didn’t cover the gray around my face & temples like it should have & I saturated those areas. Will try it one more time to see if it’s a much better experience to justify the cost over clairol box that I normally use. I’m hopeful that this turns into a partnership but just not convinced yet.- I plan to cancel - stylist said I must go darker to cover gray but drugstore brand lighter shades cover better at a fraction of the cost. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED.

Entering week 3 since I ordered my first hair coloring kit from ESalon, and no sign of delivery from the USPS. I'm canceling...I'll go back to picking and purchasing my own hair color from a store, since the USPS has become completely unreliable. It's a shame ESalon can't use other carriers--UPS seems to be delivering fine these days.....

Loved the little pink box.
It could be my hair but the color result should have had an ash tone to it. It turned my hair an auburn brunette. The kit said it was for roots only but that was not my intention. I wanted an all over ash blonde. The kit was nice. The result, not so much. I probably won't purchase again. I paid a premium price for all over color and what I received was a root touch-up. Disappointing. Live and learn.

I put in the colour two weeks ago and followed the enclosed instructions carefully and am very happy with the colour - but I am seeing re-growth and a couple of grey hairs - should I be seeing this after only 2 weeks? I don't expect to see re-growth and greys after 2 weeks. I wouldn't see similar in a box of colour purchased in a pharmacy.

the colour outcome is very dark and dull compared to the picture of my hair I uploaded of what is is always like after I leave the hairdressers. I specifically stated that I wanted bright orange and this is not at all what my hair looks like it is a dull auburn and the slight orange tone that can be seen on the ends in the sunlight has not taken on the roots, so when my hair is up it just looks mousy brown and very boring. on the positive side the condition of my hair has not been impacted and the tint rinse makes my hair shiny but I am not at all satisfied with the colour :(

Absolutely ZERO grey coverage. Will not buy again, very upset. Wanted to color my hair to cover my grey before my wedding, selected a color to match my natural color which happens to be darker than my previously colored hair... Now I have BEAUTIFUL dark hair with TERRIBLE silver grey strands - looks awful.

Dissatisfied I order a bottle refresher along with my root touch up and the refresher did not do anything for my hair and I end up with a hot root and yes I did follow up the proper steps this is not the first time u use e color although I was offer a credit for the refresher that did not work for my hair I end up having a 2 color tone on my hair that can only be corrected professionally because e salon couldn’t do any formula to match my hair

I wasn't happy with a 2 step color treatment, but I was willing to give it a try. Worked ok but I was using Madison Reed and it's all 1 step and that is so much easier. The worst part was the final 2-3 minutes when the instructions say to put water in the bottle with the leftover color and massage it in. Well, the color got all over the bathroom vanity and into my eyes and nose and it burns. Can't do much to get the color out of my eyes since my gloved hands have color all over them. Bottom line....I'm done with eSalon!!

I wanted to love this color, but unfortunately it is just BAD. I sent pictures of my current hair, a picture from their page of the color that I loved, and included a message stating exactly what I wanted. What I received yesterday is not even close. In fact, it’s not a color that anyone would want their hair to be. It’s so dark, muddy, and almost appears to be more gray! I’m not sure how I’m going to fix it, except maybe spend hundreds at a true professional colorist.

I have dark hair and recommended colours were dark brown. I chose one of the recommended colours and followed the instructions but colour did not change. Grey hair is still there too..

First, the color on the non gray hair was beautiful. It was warm, rich, and multidimensional. However, the gray roots did not cover well at all. They were various shades from gray, ash brown, and golden brown even though I left the coloring on my roots for 30 minutes as directed. If it had covered my gray roots I would buy again. Sadly, I will not be repurchasing.

My hair is coming out in clumps after using this!!!!! Cancelled immediately and do not recommend.
Update: to make the extreme hair loss even worse, the color (which looked great afterwards) has no faded into some awesome hot roots!!!! Even using the tint rinse, it did nothing. Directions followed to a T- so now I have to go into a salon, which i was trying to avoid by trying esalon in the first place!!

I never offer my two cents but this product made my eyes water and the smell was to intense. The color didn't even turn out soft black. My roots are now a light rusty red color. It looks awful!

Hello, I'm pleased with the kit, instructions and also the sticker that helps hold instructions. I'm disappointed because the color did not cover all my gray hair around my face, though it was saturated. I followed full instructions (20 minutes and 5 minutes)
Step 2 instructions does not indicate to wear gloves, however shouldn't gloves be worn to color ends or are we to keep our gloves on while waiting for 20 minutes? I recommend to add a 3rd pair of gloves to kit and to add wear gloves at step 2 Instructions. To fix the gray around my face area, may I receive a free touch up kit, asking for small amount to fix area, not a full portion. If not, I request a full refund by your 100% guarantee and please cancel my account to stop future kits. Thank you.

This is not the colour I was hoping for at all. It was a lot darker than I hoped it would be. I have pretty much juts gone back to my natural colour and that is not what I had in mind. It may have been a miscommunication so I will try again and hopefully we will get it right next time. Other than it not being the colour I wanted, it's a lovely colour and the coverage is great.

I've never had issues with my orders before, but when I opened my box from my latest order, I found that the cap for the ends developer was not screwed on all the way, and the liquid had spilled out all over the box.

Iam pale and this color darkest brown with golden undertones makes my hair almost black. I had no idea it would wash me out this bad. I have naturally dark brown hair but not this dark and I have been going to the salon and getting blonde highlights vfor the last ten years due to the pandemic I can't afford to and now that I'm close to forty the grays show, the last time about a month or more ago I bought a box from a drug store of a brownish red color I sent in a pic of it. Is there anything I can do to lighten it up.please help

Given that the pandemic has made us all into our own hairdressers, I thought a hair color subscription--of sorts--would be an excellent idea. And, this service is amazing. I really appreciated the details that went into my order (ie extra pair of gloves). That said, the product itself was lacking considerably. While I liked the no-mess formula, there was not enough product to cover my roots entirely. Even the front and side sections which were fully covered came out with about 50% coverage. I have black hair, but have been dyeing it since I started going prematurely grey. I literally had to have my partner run out for hair dye from the drug store so I could look presentable the next day.

Alles ordentlich verpackt und genau beschrieben, wie man Schritt für Schritt vorgehen soll.
Mit dem Ergebnis bin ich nicht zufrieden, die Farbe ist mir ein wenig zu dunkel, die Goldreflexe mit dem Rotton gut... aber meine Haare sind seit dem färben richtig strohig... und das ist für mich ausschlaggebend, dass die Haare nicht so strapaziert werden.

I tried the product on myself and was very surprised of how poorly it covered, I read and followed the instructions to the letter but it totally failed to live up to my expectations. La couleur est beaucoup plus foncé que mon choix, pourtant j'avais mis des photos. De plus j'ai des reflets roux (je déteste) alors que j'ai demandé un blond foncé doré.... Et pour finir, j'ai choisi de me colorer les cheveux pour camoufler les 5 ou 6 cheveux blancs qui sont apparus sur le haut de ma tête, mais ils vont bien, ils sont toujours là et beaucoup plus visibles vu que le reste des cheveux est beaucoup plus foncé ! Je vais devoir recommencer !!

I have hair that is just past my shoulders and quite thick. I had sent in a photo of my hair and emphasized the results i wanted to achieve. I had a friend help with application and it quickly became clear that there was not enough of the colour. We stretched it as much as possible and followed the instructions but unfortunately the results were not ideal and I still have grey visible at my temples.

This is not the colour I requested at all, definitely nothing like the inspiration pictures I have sent with my request. I ordered Light Brown Copper and what it turned out to be on my head was dark brown mahogany with a tint of purple.. I'd understand if it was my roots that didn't pick up the colour but 3/4 of my hair were bleached blonde so there's no excuse for them not to turn out correctly. I had high hopes but ended up very disappointed as I had one chance to get the perfect light brown copper hair when going darker, not sure how to fix this, but it will take me a long time.

I found dark blonde was very dark. To dark. I'm going to wait till the colour washes out (A lot) before I reorder and try a light blonde colour.
I also found. Although the colour was very dark my hair was in great condition.

I wanted a rich chocolate brown - I even sent in a picture of what I wanted the color to look like and it is nothing like the picture. . . my first color ever purchased was perfect- everything after that was not good.

Malheureusement sur mes cheveux foncés, la coloration n’a eu aucun effet et ne fait aucune différence avant et après la coloration...
Bien qu’on m’ait renvoyé une nouvelle couleur plus claire, cela ne fonctionne pas (dommage car l’équipe est sympa). Je pense que les colorations proposées ne sont pas adaptées pour des cheveux noirs foncés comme moi, qui nécessitent une décoloration au préalable. Cela devrait peut être être précisé sur le site avant l’achat.

Way too dark and ashy

I asked for a nice warm dark brown colour, but it almost looked black. I understand that it is darker at first and lightens progressively, but my colour looked very ashy and dull. Not really what I asked for.
Went to my hairstylist to fix it.

The treatment in colour for my hair was so harsh it dried my Hair out and irritated by scalp , it Barely covered my grey And it looks like part of my hair's falling out. I will not be colouring my hair again
