I love that my roots are blending with the rest of my hair. I am going lighter and my colorist has given me a lighter shade without my roots standing out.

I like the fact that I don't have to go out and find the shelf empty of my favorite color. I like the fact that my colorist listens to me and makes the changes until we get it right.

The color was exactly what I expected. It was easy enough to apply that my 12 year old daughter did it for me. All of the little extras - gloves, application brush, stain remover, etc. made everything go smoothly. I think I look better than I would after a trip to the salon.

This is the first hair color that covered all my grays. Usually my grays around my front hairline never color this time they did and stay colored after a month. Happy

I used it on 96 year old Nana. Came out close to her natural younger days hair color. Had some reddish tones, but that was perfect for her. She looks 10 years younger.

I love my new color! I went from boring blonde to radiant red! The color blended perfectly, although the fumes were strong. The kit and instructions were easy to follow. I had initially miscommunicated what I wanted, but called customer service that quickly turned around my color formula and shipped my kit asap! I will continue ordering via eSalon!

My custom hair color totally matched the color from my hairstylist back home. I recently moved and was in need of a colorist. Saw an ad for esalon and thought I'd try it. I couldn't be happier the color looks great and it's very easy to apply. The kit comes with directions, stain guard, stain remover, shampoo, conditioner, applicator bottle and gloves. I will continue to use esalon for my coloring needs!

I'm way to low maintenance to keep my hair up at a salon, and I've done every hair no-no at Sally's. This is the perfect fit for me. I don't have to cross my fingers as I buy a color and hope for the best! The color is perfect every time. I just did the roots the past few times and I keep excepting to see a line or an obvious sign of just doing the roots- nope. You'd have no idea. Color matches flawlessly!

Everyone knows, reds hair dye always fades...but this one doesn't! I couldn't believe it! I was even able to push off my next delivery an extra 2 weeks because my color looked so good. Amazing!

I was hoping to correct my color so I decided to use eSalon to help me try to do that. For the first time I actually found a color that was the closest to my natural color without becoming brassy. I love the simplicity of touching up roots and having it match, especially with the brush sent with the first shipment. The color is shiny and soft and just right. It didn't make my hair turn black like the box kind always does! And much more affordable than a salon!

Really, I am so impressed with this company. I did a whole bunch of research about them and others that claim to give you a salon color that you can order online. I was skeptical, but figured for the price, it wouldn't hurt to try. It was dead on the exact color I was going for. I seriously cannot believe it. I may just be a customer for life :)

This hair color is sooooo good! I love the shampoo and conditioner. I can't wait to get the light lab highlights! If you don't want to spend 120 at a salon get this stuff! I use the bowl and brush from e salon.

The color is beautiful. It was a shade darker than I wanted but my colorist got right on it and is sending me a shade lighter next shipment. Can't wait to put it on and try it. Highly recommend.

The color came out just as I had expected, and the directions were easy to follow and very helpful. I suggest getting the application kit with timer, clips, and bowl as well, this made application just like a salon. This is definitely my new color source.

I love eSalon! Thank you for making it easy to stay beautiful!!! ;) I move around and travel a lot, so keeping the same stylist wasn't happening. You find me wherever I am and I know exactly what color is going on my beautiful hair! Matching natural strawberry blonde is hard for a lot of stylist....no more salon scare! I even found a stylist who will put it on for me for a small charge.

This is the very best color I've ever used! It covered my gray completely, and made my hair glow! I've received so many compliments, not about the color, just about how great my hair looks, then they ask "what are you doing different? I fixed my drab hair, having had summer blonde over dark hair for the last 6 months, I needed to get it back to my Autumn hair, dark reddish brown. I do color for the seasons, and my light hair had run it's course. 4 weeks ago I had gone to my salon and had it colored, and was told that the color would come out faster, and it did, saw lots of lighter highlight under the dark, so, looking for a solution, I tried esalon color in dark mahogany red. Love, love the color. And with anyone with dark hair, you know how dry looking and drab it can be. especially with season changes. So...along with the great color, there is shine!!!!! I love having great, healthy hair. And I hope this product will help me keep it.

The first time I tried the custom hair color I did enjoy the result but wanted a little more red. The colorist adjusted it to my note and the result was perfect! So happy to find a cruelty free affordable "hair stylist".

I have some colour resistant grey hair,so needless to say I've tried lots and lots of colours from lots of companies so I thought I would try this,
It came in a well presented box,with step by step instructions, I only used half the amount as I have short fine hair, it covered well, rinsed well, then omg !! I used the conditioner, it smelt divine ,I couldn't stop smelling my hair once it was dried and getting all my family to "smell my hair " smell my hair "
Overall very pleased and I will purchase regular,

I was worried about using eSalon because my hair is so hard to color. It pulls the red out with nearly every color I use. eSalon is different, I get beautiful constant color every time. I'm excited to try the highlights this month.

This is an excellent option everyone should consider when deciding to do your own coloring at home and which products to use. Far superior to store bought applications. After explaining what I wanted for my color it seems my colorist new exactly what to do. I have been using this color for 3 mos, I'm getting just the results I have been wanting; the reddish brown is great and with this last application I can see even the reddish brown stand out from the base color I LOVE IT ! I anticipate more of these faint highlights with each use. I can't wait until the actual highlighting product is ready for use

In order to preserve my existing highlights around my face, I didn't achieve great coverage or allow enough time. Instructions were so helpful and I take responsibility for it not being fabulous. Coour is perfect. Next time I shall do it properly.

I love this color. I did send in photos. Top half of my hair was gray and the rest almost to my butt was darker. The color is even and a gorgeous copper red and brown. Plenty of color to saturate all of my hair. I'm so happy!!

I want it to be clear to whoever is reading this review, this is NOT an issue of faulty product or bad customer service. eSalon, as a whole, has been wonderful...
I bought the custom hair color (Dark Blonde -7.0), The professional 4-piece color tool kit, and Tinted Love in Blonde Neutralizer. All quality products; I usually get scalp irritation/ reaction but their formula didn't irritate my sensitive skin or have a strong odor. Everything is very well thought out and generous in comparison to other at home options. Tinted love has helped neutralize the bold "brass" I've been rockin, too.
I wanted to love my color but even after taking a few weeks to let it "grow on me" it's just not complimentary to my skin tone so there's no making it work...
To be fair; I did NOT upload a photo, add notes or speak with my colorist to provide an in depth history. They ask for a reason so help them, help you.... This thought added to my hesitance when debating on whether to let eSalon know I wasn't happy or not. It feels wrong to complain that it didn't turn out right, but I have to get this fixed. I'm confident they can help.
Now... this is what I feel I should of disclosed to my colorist, but at the time, didn't think it would matter: 3 months prior to ordering I had ombre (top half= level 5.0 medium brown, lower half = between level 8.0 and 9.0 light/med blonde warm undertones) I used a level 5.0 boxed dye for all one color. I stupidly colored my whole head instead of JUST the blonde. It turned out orange (between level 6.43-7.4) after the custom color; an improvement from what it was, but not what I expected (7.0 - Dark blonde). The end result, depending on whether I used toner, is between level 6.45- 5.43.
eSalon: Does that history make a difference? Can you suggest alt color options for me?

I've just used eSalon for the first time and am really delighted with the colour, it's exactly what I wanted. The product is so reasonably priced and well packaged. I found the dye so easy to use due to the clarity of the instructions and the addition of stain remover and stain guard is an excellent idea.

I used for the first time 1 month ago. The gray coverage is excellent and lasts a lot longer than any other hair coloring product I have used in the past. The color is great. I used to use root spray between colorings and I won't be needing that anymore.

My custom color is the perfect golden brown I have been looking for, the color is rich and has not faded at all. It removed all the brassy reds, and left a beautiful golden brown with a hint of red, I love it!

You all know the blonde hair type that makes you gag- medium blonde roots, but lenghts are everything between yellow and silver?
Well I had that :P
I had my natural color on the roots, so I ordered a custom blend from here to match my lenghts too. Medium blonde with a splash of ash.
This is perfect! It blended just the way I dreamed it would, no more yellow hair! And the ash tone is perfect!
I still have one coloring kit, but definitely gonna order more here!

Was skeptical, but decided to try it. I loved everything I received. I tried the shampoo, conditioner and styling gel. The instructions were very helpful and the color was excellent. It's been just a week, so can't comment on how it lasts. Will definitely order again. Update 8/25/17...still love it. Took a little time to get exact color, but I really enjoy the lasting color and ease of application.

Really rich, vibrant colour - not too dark but not bright and fake looking! I've been using eSalon for a few years now and have never been disappointed with the custom hair colour I've received.

I love these products because the color stays with you. It doesn't wash out or look dull after a couple of weeks. It just leaves me with beautiful and natural looking hair!
