This has been a very amazing experience for me. I have NEVER colored my hair before. I am 42 yrs old and have naturally red curly hair. I was VERY apprehensive about it. Afraid it would come out looking dull and dried out, a monotone color, and look fake, though I was encouraged by the reviews. I really wanted to brighten my color and cover the excessive numbers of WHITE hairs plaguing my crown, and didn't want to spend $150-200, so I gave in and bought it. Everything included was truly all that was needed. I did use a small glass bowl to mix the color and the developer. I had some questions about the instructions and when I called, I spoke to a very friendly and knowledgable person. By the end of the conversation, I felt confident in proceeding. I was ECSTATIC with the outcome of the strand test so I went ahead. The result wasAMAZING!!!! It was shiny, exactly the color I had hoped for, it was multi-dimensional!! My hair was soft and healthy looking. I will say I spent the entire week before without using styling products and deep conditioning daily. Applying with the brush was a little awkward but it would have been easier had I had the plastic stylers clips that were suggested. Oh, and I want to say something about the smell as many say it's terrible.....depends on what you're comparing it to. The perms I got as a teen (when my hair was actually straight) smelled 50x worse than this stuff does. Now it doesn't smell like roses, but it is mild compared to many other salon type smells. They have a loyal customer here!!!!! My next shipment is due in the next week.
Update:
The second coloring outcome was as FABULOUS as the first!!! I received a different formulation for my ends (the color enhancing gloss), I was concerned that it wouldn't look the same. I was wrong!! It looked like a freshened version of the original coloring! Amazing consistency! Also, I'll add that while it did fade some.....it was not as much as I had expected. I am so very pleased!!!

I couldn't be happier with the color or the service. My hair came out beautiful, it's the color I imagined, and it's so incredibly soft I can barely stop touching it! Why spend $150+ every month in the salon when you can get amazing color for so much less!

I used this product for the first time a few days ago and the color turned out great. I was impressed with the grey coverage. I will be a life long customer.- they even took the time to help me get my color just right.

I have only recently began coloring my hair and was very skeptical of not being able to see the color before I put it on. But The color I received from eSalon was exactly what I was looking for! I love that the color was customized for me (my colorist even suggested a lighter color than what I thought I wanted but she was right). eSalon is a bit more expensive than boxed color but getting a personalized color is so worth it!

Exact match to my color needs. Very surprised that it was achieved from just a picture. I liked that it didn't make my hair dry and brittle afterwards also.

Dye is great , makes hair feel healthy and looks shiny. Lasts so much longer between having to put on than any other product I have ever used including having it done at hairdressers . Great value for money.

The color is very gentle, and the conditioner is great. I'm really like the color, it's is very subtle, just as I wanted it. The more I've used it, the more people notice the color and love it too.

I followed the directions precisely how I was told and the color came out wonderful. After I colored my hair, a few days later I went to a salon for a regular trim and the lady trimming my hair asked me if it was my natural color. I told her no that I used ESalon and I did it at home. She said she had never heard of ESalon so I explained the process to her. She was very impressed at what a good job I had done coloring my hair at home. I told her to be impressed with ESalon because they make everything so easy for you that if you mess up it's because you didnt thoroughly read the directions. I will never buy BOX color in the store again nor will I pay someone $200 to do the exact thing I can do at home for $30.

Perfect color match just the smell is strong and lingers for a few days even with multiple shampooing.... was satisfied but my color is perfect now, haven't used the second shipment yet and don't think I will need more for the next while...hairstyle changed and hides/ blends the grey quite nicely....however, great product...keep it up and make women happy!...

My color expert changed my order and I was nervous - but she looked at my pictures and my wants/needs - and did a great job adjusting my color to be exactly what I needed/wanted!!!!!!

Love the color. Love how easy it is to use. Love price and quality.
Still struggling to get the few grey hairs totally colored on sides of face by my ears and at temple. I saturate them first and last, do time exactly. Maybe I just have super stubborn greys there. Was a little better this last time.
Otherwise perfect solution and saves me salon prices.

I really love the color, I adore that it can be altered as I ask, I appreciate that it's shipped to me at regular intervals and I don't have to go search for a box at the store that may or may not match or pay more than I can afford at the salon.

I am so impressed with everything about eSalon. Especially with the results of my hair color. I am a natural Strawberry Blonde, but at 58 years young, it has been a battle to keep the color looking natural. I am also a two time breast cancer survivor, so all of the medical treatments, medications, and the medically induced MENOPAUSE, I've had to endure, has all contributed to my hair reacting differently with each over the counter hair coloring product that I would try. Being on a fixed income forces me to do my own "at home" hair coloring, and due to the costs, professional salon hair coloring is not a possibility. But with eSalon, I can now say that my BEAUTIFUL, natural looking, hair color is the result of PROFESSIONAL hair coloring. I received my first kit on the day of my son's wedding, and took a risk of coloring my hair with eSalon just hours before the wedding. My hair color turned out BEAUTIFUL, I had so many compliments from friends and family...I should be getting alot of REFERRAL POINTS based on all of the people I told about eSalon. Haha. So THANK YOU eSalon, I predict me and my hair will have a long, happy relationship, from this day forward, with eSalon!

I contemplated over trying this for a long time...using a box color from the store for so many years I knew what to expect and wasn't crazy about taking a chance on the Internet. But it's the best thing I have ever done...the color was a perfect match to the pic I sent..and even better it covered the grays and didn't fade like what I was used to. I used to color every 2wks but didn't have to for 4wks with this product...love it #customer4life

I decided to start coloring my hair by myself but still wanted the salon high-quality product. I was more than happy with my color and even needed to cover my highlights first...they were more than happy to accommodate me with two bottles of coloring and very specific directions to be successful. I am very pleased with the haircolor. It's been a month since I colored it and it hasn't faded. I really like it better than the drugstore haircolor. For the next time I asked for a change to the formula, I think that will be the real test.

First of all , I want to say that I am so happy and so grateful that I found these people !! They are seriously heaven sent and you will not , I repeat , you will NOT find a better source for natural looking , absolutely gorgeous hair color from anywhere else especially at a drugstore !
I am a fair skinned latina with natural medium/dark ash blonde hair (depends on the season we are in) , blue eyes and natural shoulder length tight curls . I have always wanted to be a (natural looking) redhead as I adore the gorgeous rare color and knew it would suit my features perfectly . The problem was , not knowing which red would be a hit . I have unfortunately gone through several hardships trying to get that perfect redhead hair color through permanents and demi permanents but just wasnt being 100 % happy. It was either the red was - too red , too orange , not enough red , not enough copper (orange) , too dark etc ... Fast forward to this afternoon where I decided to try my kit after a week of receiving it which was customized Dark Blonde Copper Red . The initial result came out a little too dark for my liking because it was formulated with a bit too much dark blonde , however , that was MY error due to my talk with the stylist which led her to add the dark blonde when I only needed a pure toned red copper (with the formulation being 75% copper and 25% red. Luckily for me , I ordered Demi Permanent so I know it will fade out gradually and be perfect. For my next upcoming and future orders , my stylist will be creating just the customized pure gloss for my applications which is all I will be needing .
I am 100 % satisfied with this product and will forever be a fan and use this stuff till the day they stop (which I am hoping will be never) !!! THANK YOU STYLIST DANIELLE AND ALL OF ESALON !

The color in my hair is beautiful and covers fully and evenly. I received a personal and practical kit that included shampoo and conditioner. I gave this 4 stars becsuse of the price.

I really like how natural this product looks. Many people do not even realize I color my hair.
I just have the first day or two where my hair seems almost as if it's a platinum color more than blonde and platinum to me looks gray and that is why I get the color to cover my gray.
However after a few days the suns rays take over and make it blonde just like I want it to be. I have gotten many compliments on my color and it is salon quality.

I used to use box color but never again. The color is deep and the unintentional highlights my gray provides after coloring is fantastic. I've made minor changes each time I order, and I'm never disappointed. My stylist says the color looks amazing and my hair is shinier than ever.

After using this for a few years, I love the fact that it's a CUSTOM blended color just for me! If I want to make it a bit darker or lighter the next time, I can request that! I have completely gray hair, and it covers ALL of it. I love this system!

My first time of using a dye shampoo and no residual. My grey returned grey not with dirty tint which resulted from chemical. I am very happy with this Hair colour.

I absolutely love my color and the feel of my hair. I was a bit skeptical at first because I have curly hair really curly hair. I was worried that it would dry my hair out, or damage my curl pattern because there were no reviews from women with my hair type. I was also worried that the color would be too red, or too dark. I uploaded a picture of myself to help my stylist create the perfect color for my skin tone and my hair. When choosing what color I wanted, it looked more red on the model in the picture. I held off for 2 weeks after receiving my color to use it. Finally I just gave in and thought, well it's a demi permanent color so if I don't like it, I can always change it when it washes out. Well... I LOVE MY COLOR!!! It's not as red as it shows on the model. It's a beautiful brown with a reddish purple tint to it. The free gloss that came with my order made my hair so shiny! Best of all the dye did not have a strong smell at all, and the color process was so quick. The only thing which I didn't like was how liquidy the formula is. I tend to use cremes for dye because it's less messy. I'll just be more careful to not get it all over the place. Overall this product is great! I will be using it again :-).
