I’m jut blown away by not only the quality of the products/packaging but more importantly the results. I did a root touch up of a grey skunk hairline. I had previous highlights and most recently a drugstore touch up. The drugstore kits always had me ending up way darker than I wanted or too light with a tinted but not quite gone covered skunk stripe. This absolutely had me feeling like I just left the salon.
The littlest details like a sticker to hang instructions on the mirror in front of you, the detailed instructions of how exactly to rinse, and the superior quality of the color itself has me kicking myself for not doing this sooner.

Colorist picked a color that matched my skin tone very well. The chemical in the bottles are too harsh on hair. My hair feels smooth and not tangled after the application.

I loved the light brown on my hair to ends. The only issue I have is that my roots were more brassy than I'd like. Easy to apply, I used the brush and bowl technique. It does have a strong smell. I also wish there was size small gloves and an extra stain remover sheet. That worked really well! Packaging was really nice and put together well. The shampoo and conditioner was nice too.

Great color, good supplies, though clips included would be nice. Looking forward to trying to do the highlights myself. Watched a video that made it look very doable. Shipping is a bit expensive...they could consider decreasing this as I have a friend who won't order due to high shipping. Overall very happy.

Color results were very good, my hair was shiny as I'd hoped. Product had a pleasant smell with no residue odor as with other store bought products. The only issue I had was that the color was somewhat darker than I expected, looked almost black; however, in all fairness, I did not discuss with my colorist.

It actually covers the grey and stays covered longer. It comes with everything you need including your own personal instructions. If you don't like the color they'll ajust it til your happy.

I liked the organized box, the 2 sets of gloves. I like the color, I might add a little more of the neutralizer blue to tone down the copper coming through. There are some coppery highlights when the light hits it. Also, in the directions it tells you to do roots first and wait 15 min. Then do your ends, then 10 more minutes. I did this on my blonde grown out hair and I have a line where I applied the first roots, which is half my hair, and then the lighter highlights growing out. I wish I could have just applied the color to the whole head and maybe I wouldn't have such a line. Overall I am pleased. I hope it lasts.

I was scraping the internet trying to find a quality hair color product that didn't break the bank, had excellent reviews, and was easy enough to do myself. It was just that time you know? I have had 2 kids, I'm in my mid-thirties, and those grays are just cropping up everywhere. I couldn't hide it anymore. I was contemplating just going natural, and embracing my 'crown of wisdom' but I thought, why not grow in wisdom and still have cute hair?! I have actually never tried to dye my hair before. So I was a little nervous in spite of all of the great reviews on the site, and youtube. I had a family member apply it the first two times. I watched her do it, and I knew, there is no reason why I couldn't just do this myself. So I did! My hair color came out just as amazing! (I went with dark brown copper. Yes, the color is beautiful indeed!) I recommend any woman to try this who knows they are picky about the products they put in their hair, and yet are trying their best to stretch the dollar. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

My hair would not hold a color, so I gave up and had to live with my gray hair. I no longer have to do that because my color took beautiful and it is staying in.

Très contente de la couleur, j'ai les cheveux longs et j'ai eu largement de produit pour l'application!
En revanche sur le guide d'application est noté en Bonus qu'un 2ème flacon gratuit raviveur est offert pour les longueurs afin d'assurer une couleur uniforme et je n'ai pas ce flacon!

I love the coverage provided by this product. It was a little too dark but that was my fault in providing the exact color needed which is difficult to do and not the fault of e-Salon. I have requested a change in the color but have not used the new color yet as this color is holding so well.

it came out as expected, there was a hiccup with the first order so had to wait for them to ship a new one. The color is good, not sure it’s any better or worse then just buy a box at store. But it was worth a try!

I have an even all over coverage you can’t tell that it was previously highlighted. My roots were about 3 inches. The only problem I had was this color was just to dark. I thought it would be more of a medium type brown but it is a darker brown. I did call and they added a credit to my account and she gave me some tips on getting it to lighten up some so that I can dye it a lighter brown. The customer service is amazing. It was super easy to dye my hair myself took less than an hour total including processing time. I have shoulder blade length medium to thick hair and had plenty of product.

I have tweeked the hair color 2 times since the original order, and I just can't seem to get it right. the staff was prompt and chain doing changes no questions asked. they always sent me a note saying hey this is what we did how do you like it what's going on so their response their comments and their helpfulness is helping me decide what realistic-looking color I want.

Hola gema , cómo te comenté anteriormente me gustaría un color más claro cómo un 7.0 que es un rubio oscuro o en su defecto un balayage creo que se escribe así , aunque me encanto como me quedó el color en verdad estoy acostumbrada ya a los colores más claros y con mechas , si no hay problema me gustaría poder cambiar el color

I loved how my custom color turned out. It is a very deep, rich dark brown. My hair also felt great and was shiny. The only reason I am gave 4 stars was because the smell is very strong.

My most favorite thing about the hair color aside from the gray coverage is that I don't have to worry about the color bleeding onto my clothes and bedding even when my hair is wet. . In the past I have been unable to wear white or light colors for several weeks after coloring my hair. There seems to be little damage done to my hair while using so my hair feels good instead of stripped of all moisture.

I absolutely love the product. I love the way it colors my hair. I love how it doesn't bleed. I love how my hair feels after I use the dye. Not like store bought dye. The only thing is it's still a little too dark. Im wanting a more pinkish color.

This is one of the best hair coloring products I have tried. The service is great. Even though I haven't found exactly the correct shade, I keep tweaking it with customer service to get it there. What makes it difficult is, I teach deep water aerobics so I am in the pool 4 times a week. I have a short, layered haircut and applying the solution is not as easy as seen in all your videos using gals with long hair. How about a video showing how to apply haircolor on short hair?

The color is great and looks much better than most box colors. Directions are easy to follow. The product is a little difficult to wash out. Usually takes me 2 or 3 washes to get rid of the rubbery feel.

I usually use store bought hair color. I found esalon through instagram and Facebook. I decided to give it a shot! My hair is originally very dark brown almost black with a little red showing through in the sunlight. The last 6/8 months I put Carmel Hi-lights in it and grew tired of them very quickly. I am getting married in a few months and don’t have the funds to visit A salon to go back to my original color. Which brings me to the reason I am writing this review! I received my package very quickly as soon as I got it in the mail I ran inside and started the process which was very easy ! 20 minutes later and I am back to my original hair color! I was very nervous because of the blonde in my hair. I was worried it wouldn’t be what I thought I wanted. And I was wrong! I would recommend esalon to anyone wanting an amazing DIY salon quality hair color! 💖

My first use produced a color way darker than I wanted. However, after a few shampoos, the color lightened and was perfect. It still is. No sign of fading or gray showing. I notified Salon re: the dark color, and was told that my next batch would be lighter. Please send the original color. Your product is waaaay better than the drugstore products. I was ready to let the grey take over because I was not satisfied with the drugstore results. I have never reviewed a product before.

I’ve ordered this product multiple times. One of the best things about this color is it’s drying power. Even when it fades it looks great!
Objectively, the color is not consistent every time. I understand that this is a custom order and it’s hard to achieve that 100% of the time. I’d like to see that change if in the future if possible.
Overall I really like the convenience and quality. It’s a live saver. ✨

I had never colored my hair before, but was starting to look washed out with gray hair. The instructions and website were very educational and easy to follow. My daughter said that they matched my hair perfectly and I feel and look younger. I am getting better at brushing the color, but this was the hardest part for me. The 2nd and 3rd time I colored my hair (root touch ups), my hair had a gummy feel to it. I added baking soda to the shampoo once or twice after coloring my hair and this fixed the problem.

I used this about 3 times, it was demi so with my lifestyle it would only last a month or so ....was too scared to go permanent. Never touched my hair since and cut my own hair for 5 years, now 5 years later I'm 40% gray and needing to spruce it up, brighten my face so I'm back and looking forward to it. I'm not ready to go gray yet :)

This is a bit more tedious than a typical boxed dye but totally worth it! The color is exactly what I wanted and everything looked even once I dried my hair. I also love that it doesn’t have that strong bleach smell like drug store dyes and it doesn’t sting my scalp so i’d Like to think it doesn’t have harsh chemicals. Finally, not much color comes off in the shower whenever I wash my hair so hoping this lasts longer! Also, love the sample of shampoo and conditioner, left my hair smelling nice and feeling soft—might just have to buy it!

Being a natural redhead trying to cover grey has led me to some disastrous attempts to get to my natural colour. I have tried most off the shelf products over the years. I am well used to having to use colour removers to balance out failed colourings. I have to say that my first Custom Colour Set had resulted in the colour I have been looking for for years. I followed the online instructions exactly and I am a very happy redhead. I will now monitor how long it lasts before I sign up to receive more Sets.

I am beyond satisfied with my hair color and the texture of my hair after using the product! The color looks so natural, and my hair is soft. I feel and look my self again..I no longer have old lady box color that made my hair drab. The only downside is that it is a bit messier that what I am used to, but hopefully I can improve on the technique in the future. I also plan to order the shampoo and conditioner, I liked that a lot too. Also, this sounds weird and is random, but while rinsing my hair, the smoke detector went off outside the bathroom door. (Again, random and weird!) I almost wonder if the detector sensed the chemicals floating in the air as fire.

I absolutely love the color and texture of my hair the only concern I have is the price. After the first purchase with the discounts I'm being charged full price plus shipping. For that price I could get my hair done in a salon with a groupon and not have to deal with the mess. I also need my husband to help me to do the back of my hair since I can't see where my roots end. But the color is perfect. Better than any box I used.

I love my color. It took 4 color changes to get what I wanted. Each time the esalon team made the changes. The color covers my grays and is a nice shade of chocolate brown. My hair is also very soft. That is something it hasn't been in years. I use some of there other products too. I'm ready to try the light set next. The only issue is my hair grows so fast and I dont really like using the camo spray. There is nothing wrong with the spray. It works very well. I just dont like using it.

Like the adjustment that was made but still searching for my perfect color choice.
I love how they work to get the color just right. I made a change that was almost the color I want but will adjust once more to see if I am able to get that perfect color.
My problem is I know nothing about color and think I am picking the right color when I make my choice only to wish I had asked for a little bit more change. That is the beauty of eSalon, it’s like going to your personal hairdresser and saying this time could you do this and they make the adjustment you ask for.

My color results with eSalon have been wonderful. It covers my grays and the color lasts much longer than store products. My hair stays shiny never feels dried out. My only complaint is the waxy residue that seems to be left in my hair right after coloring. It looks like my hair is oily until I wash it the next time. I am thinking this is from the conditioner. However, after the second wash, both my hair and I are quite happy with the results :)

Loved the hair dye, directions were easy to follow, loved having color stain remover especially since I’m brunette. I stopped going to salon because a colorist stained my forehead and then couldn’t get stain off! Very embarrassing two days. Very pleased with product even though it’s a little darker than I expected. I loved the way my hair feels after the process. Thanks!

This color was so much more than I dared hope for. The red I'd had previously wasn't what I had asked for and I didn't like the way it looked with my skin tone. After a few emails and photos with the professionals, and now I have a hair color everyone says looks incredible. Most are surprised to learn it's not my natural color.

No more hair color salon for me

I have been going to the hair salon for all of my adult life but I hit an age where the grays popped out sooner each week. Every three months turned into every six weeks and the cost was astromical. Found eSalon online. I will admit, it took me a couple of tries to get it right. They adjusted the hair color according to my comments. I don't need appointments anymore. I'm satisfied with the color and feel good the change.

At first I thought it may have been a little darker than I wanted but it isn't. It is a gorgeous color and suites my complexion much better than my salon color. My husband commented how much he liked the color right away. That should tell you everything you need to know!!

I actually am impressed with this brand and company. You get a wonderful box with customized color and developer made especially for you. You also get stain guard and removal, shampoo and conditioner. They give you 2 pairs of gloves as well. The color came out nice and I bought the tings rinse as well. I do wish and think it be great to offer free shipping to those who join the plan. My biggest and only real complaint is that customer service seems terrible. I called and asked to adjust my color and add a second bottle but checked my profile and see that what was discussed was not reflected properly to my account. Now I have to call agin, FRUSTRATING.

I moved and could not find a hair colorist, my roots were starting to remind me of the white line down the center of the highway!! So I happened upon eSalon, I hadn't ever done my own hair. Could it really be that easy? eSalon would set me up with a color plan!! Self said." NO WAY!" But wait for it I did and after a little pep-talk that I can do this. I have to say,"YES,YES,YES!!!!" It was a little tricky doing the back of my hair but I got her done and I'm so impressed! The color is beautiful! My hair is soft and pretty. I love your shampoo and conditioner they are quality products. I'm yours eSalon, forever. Thanks.

Me gusta mucho la cobertura que tiene solo que es muy difícil de quitarla al lavar el cabello y desmanchar las áreas de la cara que lleguen a ensuciarse

I was sick this month and it too me a few weeks to get to do my hair color. With that said I was more Grey than usual!! Omg I was worried that I waited too long and this may be a problem in covering my grays! I am super happy to say, All the gray is gone! Whoo hoo!

I loved the color .. I have a strawberry blonde shade that is hard to find but they matched it perfectly .. I don't like to really go far from my hair shade but as I get older those stubborn grays/white hairs are showing .. I've done the blonde highlights to hide them but a friend of mine thought I did my hair totally blonde and I was kinda sad because I have always loved the red so I wanted to go back to my original shade but couldn't find anything in a bottle and dreaded paying the salon prices when I knew I could do it myself at home .. I've seen eSalon several times online and thought I would try it .. this is absolutely the best thing ever!! I just love my color they mixed for me .. my hair looks so natural and beautiful!

Love the concept! Instructions are great as is packaging. First order was great. Second order somehow came twice within a couple of weeks (second box is still unopened). The second dye seemed a little darker for some reason. I prefer a tad lighter. But I will keep using!
