I have used other companies hair colors. They are very messy and don’t last very long. So I wasn’t sure if this one would be better. Wow it comes in a cute box with my name on it and has everything I need and things that I thought I didn’t need but I’m glad they sent it. The color has already lasted longer than most and it looks great and covered up the gray hair.

I’m seeing crazy reviews and can’t understand??
I’m seeing crazy reviews! I’ve been using esalon for 10 yrs 4 mos. The first time I used it and went to have my hair cut a few days later. He’s Italian born and trained from about age 16-17.He’d been in the USA for 50 yrs at that point. I made the comment that I’d changed my color. He said he noticed this when he started washing and cutting my hair that day. It was for the BEST! Previously I’d been using L’Oreal buying 2 of 1 color and 1 of another to make my own color. I’d mix them, use one and then the next 2 boxes over the next 2 colors. I am now pretty much white. I can see my white part and needing to do my color once a month. I’m now dark blonde from esalon. My hair dresser now says looks more medium blonde. I’ve gotten more used to being blonde as I was as a child. My blonde is NOT a screaming hey look! I’m blonde. It looks very natural. I’ve been told that the color is good for me. I’d been darker when I started out. As I’ve aged young 70’s now, I’ve had to adjust as it wouldn’t hold the darker color. However as you age, I think you look better with hair color but a lighter shade that doesn’t conflict with your skin. I’m VERY happy with esalon. Can’t understand these terrible stories?

Hi there,
I very much like the result, but I would like to mention that in my second order (having a subscription at the moment) you only sent me x1 bottle colour and x1 bottle developer. Whereas, in the first order I had two of each. The dye mixture was too little to cover all of my hair. Hence, there are a few colour differences in the end result. I thought you would continue sending x2 bottles of each.. No?

I received the package few months ago to scared to try jeotgoing to my stylist until today I finally decided to be brave and try the color set
And I have to tell you unfortunate for my hair dresser ESalon was true to their words the color is beautiful
The work was easy a bit more trash than needed
But I love the color I hope it stays true after a few washes

So, this was way more ginger than I was expecting. I was expecting a more honey/strawberry blonde but have ended up with a light auburn mix with a hotter root. As a natural ginge anyways, wasn’t a major shock but I imagine it might make some people a bit shocked if they were expecting a lighter tone

This was my first time using eSalon. I had originally selected the darkest brown with copper and mahogany undertones. When I spoke with my stylist, Danielle, she advised that the brown I chose would be very dark and would come out looking more black than brown. I definitely did not want that, I have a very fair complexion! Instead, she chose medium brown for me (I'm naturally a blonde, but my hair has been processed by bleach to keep the brighter color) with copper and mahogany. She told me that the colors are darker than they appear in the photos online, which was good because I wanted a more dark chocolatey brown than a standard brown. Well, Danielle really knows what she's doing! The adjustment she made to my custom color was absolutely perfect and I love my new hair color! I am thrilled with this service and have already been telling everyone about it! Thank you so much, Danielle and eSalon, for making coloring my hair so much easier and more affordable than it's been the last 15 years!!

Man kann bei der Bestellung seine Wunschfarbe wirklich genau bestimmen und genauso war sie dann auch.
Die Anleitung war sehr ausführlich und auch alles dabei, sogar Entferner für eventuelle Farbkleckse.
Ein bisschen erschrocken war ich nur über den sehr starken Geruch des Produktes, das kannte ich so von im Handel gekauften Haarfarben nicht. Ich nehme mal an, das deshalb die Farbe auch länger hält, es ist mein 1. Kauf bei Ihnen, da bin ich gespannt. Ansonsten bin ich sehr zufrieden.

Until I retired I had my hair colored and highlighted at the salon. Once I retired I had a hard time justifying spending all that money. I also found I needed to have it done more frequently as the older I got the faster the grays were showing. I tried drug store color and for whatever reason whichever brand and whatever shade of blond (my natural color) i tried, within a week or two I always ended up with the same unfortunate shade of brassy reddish orange yuck. I was desperate when I read about eSalon. I was happy with my first custom color set. A definite improvement but still some of the dreadful brassy color. On the off chance it was avoidable I mentioned it to the colorist. Never again have I had to look at brassy reddish hair with disgust. My hair was blond again. I thought why not try a light set since my natural color is a darkish blond and I always enjoyed the highlights from the salon. I was a little nervous since I thought highlights were normally done by experts. The directions were very clear and the process was not complicated at all. I think my hair looks every bit as good as when I was paying hundreds of dollars for my color. I couldn’t be happier. So thank you to the wonderful colorist who banished the brass and to eSalon for allowing me an affordable way to maintain my retirement budget and love my hair at the same time.

I'm very happy with my colour, it was adjusted two times and it turn out very good.
I relation with shipping, I live in Ireland and he shipping information does not work. I try contacting support but you go link after link and is a maze to get the proper link. really hard to know were your order is.

Vraiment étonner c'est la première fois que j'ai la couleur que je voulais. J'ai essayer plusieurs coloration en magasin, j'ai également payer un prix fou au coiffeur surtout que j'ai les cheveux long donc c'est très cher et le temps perdu pour toujours avoir c'est reflet un peu roux que je déteste et la après correction de ma couleur par rapport à mes demande , j'ai enfin la couleur que je veut . Merci beaucoup

Farbe passt perfekt und deckt das Grau auch sehr gut ab.
Leider zuviel Farbe für die Ansätze, könnte für mind.2xAnsatz färben reichen.
Ist mir längerfristig zu teuer alle 6 Wochen.

At first I started using box coloring you can get at the grocery store, it was just okay. I really wasn’t happy because my hair always looked so dull and lifeless. Then I paid a fortune at the salon, that really didn’t make me happy either. One day at my ophthalmologist’s office I saw a lady with the most beautiful red hair. When I complimented her on her hair color she told me it was from eSalon. I’ve been a happy customer ever since. The color experts at eSalon got my color right the first time. It was the right color and had depth and dimension that even the salon didn’t give me. Even if they hadn’t of gotten it right the first time, they would have worked with me until they did. I would recommend them to everyone. They’re that good.

Always wanted to be the red-haired girl of Charlie Brown, but since I only born Brown I had to adjust it. I spent lots of money in hair saloon only to reach a "fake red" shade. Since I started buying from eSalon, people are shocked when I tell them I am a natural brunette.

Ich bin insgesamt zufrieden mit der Anwendung. Alles hat super geklappt mit der Lieferung und die Anleitung ist auch top verständlich. Leider hat meine Farbe einen leichten Rotstich, den ich nicht gewollte habe (Ton: warmes Beige). Dieser kam beim Strähnchentest auch noch nicht raus, sondern zeigte sich erst nach dem ersten regulären Waschen. Damit bin ich leider nicht so happy und muss meinen Ton für die nächste Bestellung nochmal anpassen.

I had a positive experience with this product initially, as it was reasonably priced at first. However, I was surprised by the automatic subscription feature, and the price for later purchases is quite steep. Offering discounts for returning customers or subscribers might be good .

The process was great and so was the color but it has faded a lot in only 2weeks. That may be due to frequent washings because of the sun, hot weather and sweating so it will give it another try

Great colour, I was nervous but am a total convert from 6 weekly salon visits at nearly £100 per time. Only downside is that being on a plan does not attract free shipping. If I’m displaying loyalty, would be great to have that perk.

I went to color my hair(which I’ve done 10 times before according to my order history), and after adding the color to the developer, it exploded all over the ceiling! Eeeek!! I believe it was due to the heatwave we’ve been having in Seattle, because it came out hot. Which I thought was odd.
So, I was hoping I could get a replacement? I sort of scraped up about half of the solution, but it definitely was not enough to cover all my grays. I would greatly appreciate your help.

Mit den beiden vorherigen Farben war ich überhaupt nicht zufrieden. Nach einer ausführlichen telefonieren Beratung konnte das Farbergebnis deutlich verbessert werden. Die Farbe entspricht zwar nicht zu 100% meinen Erwartungen, aber damit kann ich mich anfreunden.

First of all I hated my color when I did it. My hair was a dark brown and I have never had brown hair. My hair is a med auburn. Typically I use Revlon colorstay med auburn and it is perfect every time; however, in two weeks it fades terrible. By week three my roots are showing so I redo it again. The reason I tried this is to see if I could find a color that doesn’t fade so quick. After many washes and adding light auburn to my color the same day I did it, I ended up with the perfect color and it is definitely a longer lasting color but I can’t get my shade adjusted because it won’t let me do it and I can’t get hold of anyone who will listen. Coloring your hair shouldn’t be this frustrating.

Hat alles super geklappt, würde nur gerne die Hälfte für den Ansatz töten verwenden .Habe leider beim erstenmal das ganze Produkt verwendet und die Hälfte entsorgt .Ansonsten war ich mit der Übermittlung meiner Daten für die Farbwahl sehr zufrieden.

This is amazing product..covered my baby hairs too which was the most satisfying part. Would certainly want to continue with the product but only if it will be a bit cheaper. As 23.50€ per month is too much.

I truly enjoyed the product and packaging/use is so simple, clean and easy! Unfortunately, this color was a bit too light and too Auburn as I was shooting for a Chocolate Cherry shade. Hopefully, we’ll get it this time🍒🍫❤️

Could have used just a little more to pull through the ends. Really liked that it didn’t have a very strong smell. Haven’t washed it for the first time yet to see how it holds.

Great product but would prefer less plastic in packaging - colour filled pouches would do for me as I always mix from a bowl and apply by brush.
Also as I am roots-only - my bottle is only ever half full - therefore wasteful for packaging.
Hoping eSalon can take the next evolution to more sustainable packaging!

Love the hair colour, but I have twice cancelled the extra two items and you still keep sending them and worse still, charging me. Very difficult to get through to anyone to correct this Su I am thinking of cancelling the whole order unless this problem is solved now -

J aime beaucoup la couleur sur les longueurs mais je n ai pas bien reussi a couvrir une partie toujours recalcitrante cheveux blancs au dessus de l oreille. J ai peu de cheveux blancs et n ai utilise que le 1/4 du flacon... Je vais recommencer, j ai une coloration semi permanente.

I gave it 4 stars because my hair came out good, except for some of the grey spots were not covered by this formula. I like the color and the texture, but please add something else to cover my grey hairs in the front and sides.

Je pensais utiliser la couleur pour des retouches entre mes venues chez mon coiffeur, mais je dois avouer que je ne m'attendais pas à un résultat aussi réussi! Et du premier coup! J'ai eu tellement de mal à trouver un coloriste qui comprenne mes attentes, alors en ligne je m'étais dis que c'était impossible. Je suis bluffée. Je vais clairement poursuivre mon abonnement au eSalon, qui me permet de ne plus me soucier de mes cheveux blancs! Merci à l'équipe :)

I’m a redhead, a color people often has commented on with “we know it’s your natural color, no one can get that in a bottle!”
Time has added pure white strands through it, and last summer my mother tried to brush away “cobwebs” from my hair. She honestly mistook my white hairs for cobwebs. 😳
I work with teens on the autism spectrum, and especially two of them have immense pride in their pattern recognition and ability to spot the slightest visual changes.

Before trying e-salon, I tried supermarket hair dyes a few times. Since I had no experience with colors, I thought I had gotten my real hair color, but every time my hair turned into a very bad brown red color.
I thought I had nothing to lose by trying E Salon and placed my first order.
In the first evaluation, I chose the shades that I thought were my original color.
One day later, I received an e-mail from my colorist stating that these colors were too warm for me and that they had prepared my original hair color for me.
A week later I received my kit and I tried it right away.
I couldn't believe the results. Yes, I had my true natural color and my hair looked soft and shiny, not hard, unlike what I felt after using market dyes. There was no unpleasant smell while dyeing.
They are truly gorgeous and from now on it will be only e-salon for me. Thank you very much.

I have not achieved the color I want, I want a natural golden brown and my hair is very dark no golden highlights, I can’t keep purchasing colors that don’t change the color .Your product is great But I am not happy with the color you keep sending, every time I do my hair the color comes out very dark almost black. I want a lighter brown with golden highlights, Can this happen? I quit trying it cost a lot and I never achieved the desired result 😥

Super Verträglichkeit und Farbe

Das Produkt entspricht zu 100% meinen Erwartungen was die Farbe und Verträglichkeit betrifft. Die Farbe wurde wie versprochen gemischt. Jedoch zeigte sich nach mehreren Anwendungen, dass meine grauen Haare die Goldpartikel zu stark annehmen, so dass ich jetzt die Farbe ohne Gold mischen lasse. Das hat aber nichts mit eSalon zu tun, sondern mit meinem persönlichem Empfinden.

Didn’t handle roots

So I colored my hair as instructed, but I see big difference between ends and roots as I didn’t color roots.
After dying color on my roots is closer to dark blonde and ends are cooper. Either my roots color should have more reds or processing time should be longer, or Idk. But its not cool

This was the second color kit I ordered. The color in the first kit was a little too dark. I sent an email to my stylist who adjusted the color in my second kit. Very happy with the grey coverage, ease of use and color result.

I originally received color that did not color my grays. Then received a package that had leaked dye all over itself, when I received the new color. I finally received the correct color. The team here helped me without question and made sure I was satisfied. The color I have now is perfect!

This is the third time I used eSalon products. I had noticed last time that although I carefully followed the application instructions the grey was not completely covered. This time I requested a slight darkening of the shade. This seemed to work and I am happy with the results. The reason for the 4 star review is that is is very hard for me to really get to all the grey roots , especially in the back. So periodically I have to go to a salon for a true professional coloring.

Yes, that's three exclamation points! I've been using e-Salon for a few years, off and on, and decided to cover my gray entirely one more time before my 59th birthday, so I took the plunge.
Keep in mind, I was silver. And not the pretty kind. e-Salon has always been a great choice for home do-it-yourself, so I trusted their team.
The first time I colored my hair after letting it go completely silver, the color was too brassy. Too reddish ... I was going for Ash Blonde; the color nature gave me. So, I snapped a picture and sent it back.
I waited a couple of weeks and voila! My next shipment came with a note from a stylist.
They listened, and now? IT'S GLORIOUS!
Exactly what I wanted. Boom.

Gutes Ergebnis nicht nur farblich, auch die Pflege!
Leider war die Menge für mich zu viel . Die Hälfte musste ich entsorgen ,da man Reste ja nicht aufheben kann. Würde gerne nachbestellen ,wenn ich die halbe Menge bekäme .Zum wegwerfen ist mir das Produkt eindeutig zu teuer!

Ich bin mit dem Ergebnis nach dem "ersten" Färben zufrieden und möchte die Farbe nochmals verwenden.
Was ich nicht in Ordnung finde ist der Preis. Mir wurde die Farbe für 11,00 € verkauft. Nunmehr beträgt der weitere Preis 24,95 €. Bei diesem Preis werde ich die Farbe nicht auf Dauer anwenden können.
Ferner wurde bei der ersten Bestellung auch in keiner Weise erwähnt, dass ich mit der ersten Bestellung sofort ein Abo annehmen muss. Dieses Vorgehen finde ich nicht wirklich seriös.

Un vrai régal que cette coloration, douce et lumineuse. Même après 3 semaines, mes cheveux sont toujours très doux. Le Kit est très complet. Il va cependant falloir que j’adapte la couleur, les nuances bleues ne ressortent pas du tout … Mais je suis tellement brune aussi ☺️

J’appréhendais énormément que la couleur ne me convienne pas, que cela soit trop clair ou même très foncé…. que j’applique mal la coloration et que mes cheveux n’aient pas une couleur uniforme dans la mesure où c’était la toute première coloration faite maison …
Je suis vraiment RAVIE du résultat! La coiffeuse a vraiment su respecter ma demande. Les instructions sont vraiment hyper claires et c’était une très belle expérience … j’ai adoré … un grand MERCI!

I was very excited for this product coming in as I have been dealing with gray hair for a while I followed the instructions according to the box and did everything it said to do but still have lingering grey. I have contacted the company and waiting to see if they could help me fix it in hopes that we can move forward with the product because I do like it.

I am finding that coloring my own hair is not as easy as I thought it would be. I have trouble getting the color on my roots evenly and find myself missing places. That being said I am sure that I will get better with time and I do love the end result in spite of my struggles!

La verdad que no me gustó como me kedo el cabello ..demasiado duro y un olor muy fuerte .. no uso amonia y si no se molestan no quiero volver a ordenar
