Das Färbekit kommt toll verpackt und schön personalisiert. Die Anwendung wird gut erklärt.
Ergebniss weicht aber, ohne vorherige Aufhellung der Haare durch Highlights, doch stark vom versprochenen Färbeergebnis ab, es fällt dunkler aus. Erreicht werden sollte, auf dunkelblondem mit Rotanteil leicht ergrauten Haar, ein heller Kupferton. Erreicht wurde ein eher dunkles Rot.
Der Kupferton wurde erst nach Nachbesserung der Farbe durch den Coloristen und das setzen von blonden Highlits erreicht und ist nun aber perfekt!
Die Grauhaarabdeckung ist hervorragend! Ich werde das Produkt, nun nachdem ich Highlits gesetzt habe auch weiter verwenden, da durch die Aufhellung der Längen das Farbergebnis nun wundervoll ausfällt.

I tried to include an applicator brush with my custom color set, but instead it was shipped separately and I incurred a extra fee, although I’d specified I did not want to make a separate order and the brush could be included in my next scheduled delivery.

My hair was great for A while but it very quickly became brassy and reddish again Within a few weeks. I wash my hair 2 times a week, use colorfast products, and don’t use hot hot water and it still faded after a few weeks

I loved the red ... but you still have yet to give me my “want” ... I WANT ALL MY HAIR RED not just the roots . As I have repeatedly mentioned, I colored my hair BLACK so all except the regrowth is black and I don’t want that... I need THAT black STRIPPED OFF... hear me please! So far all I’ve received are BANDAIDS... NOT MY WANT.... HELP PLEASE

Die Anwendung und das Ergebnis sind sehr zufriedenstellend.
Da ich nur sehr wenige graue Haare habe, färbe ich nicht die kompletten Haare, sondern nur Strähnen. Daher sind die zwei gelieferten Farb- und Entwicklerkits gut gemeint, aber für meine Bedürnisse zu viel. Ich habe gerade mal eine halbe Flasche Farbe und Entwickler benötigt. Ein kleineres Kit wäre daher für mich sinnvoller. Deshalb nicht die volle Punktzahl.
Ich werde einfach das Lieferintervall anpassen.

Die Farbe deckt super ab. Selbst meine grauen besser gesagt weißen Haare. Vor allem färbt mein Kopf nicht ab. Sonst habe ich immer Probleme da ich im Nacken extrem schwitze. Immer lief mir der farbige Schweiß eine Woche lang den Nacken runter. Das ist vorbei 👍. Einziges Manko ist der hohe Preis.

I appreciate E-salon for so many reasons. Their product is superb! My color is perfect and my hair is never over processed. Last month, when my regular shipment was lost in the mail, they immediately sent me a replacement at no charge. They even notified me that the package had been lost in the mail! That kind of customer service is difficult to find these days!

Before this final successful fifth attempt, I tried 4 drug store colors and the 1 previously mixed by ESalon. The main challenge was to find a light blonde that is both consistent with my prior natural hair as well as completely covers white and gray. Light blond hair has less pigments for color to attach itself to than darker hair, consequently is harder to achieve, also in terms of the stronger chemicals.
The first two drug store colors, while consistent with my natural hair, offered no other coverage. The third and fourth provided somewhat better coverage, however that washed out after a couple of weeks, more or less forcing me to color every month, which I consider too frequent given the chemicals and expenses involved. The fourth was touted by the industry as providing the single best gray coverage, true for only the first couple of weeks, and areas also turned orange. A stylist told me that drug store brands, because they have to work for everyone, include extremely harsh chemicals, such as carpet dyes, which explained the noxious fumes, and nevertheless the product was still washing out!! Had they upped the chemicals on that brand even just minimally, I can say without exaggeration that I would have passed out during application. That is when I decided to find a personalized colorist. I couldn't afford to walk around with different colored patches of grayish/orange hair becoming worse after every wash.
Your colorist accomplished the task of a light blond hair color that completely covers white and gray, doesn't wash out, and keeps chemicals, fumes and the like within acceptable range. Thanks for listening and producing a great final product.

The service was brilliant and I loved the colour at first but after just two washes it faded at the roots but not on the lengths (possibly due to my stubborn greys). This was even with a very well known brand of colour safe shampoo.

I started coloring my hair on my own during the pandemic. I initially used Clairol Nice and Easy, which wasn't bad but I found my hair was coming out too brassy and yellowy (yes, I had both going on)y. For this reason, I had to do do a "blue" mask the day after I colored my hair followed by a "purple" mask two days after that--5 five day process--I did the toners on dry hair and let them sit for about 20 minutes before rinsing. Additionally, I was using toner shampoos twice a week-I needed to do this to keep the tones in my hair "calm". I came across eSalon and explained to them what my issue was with my existing color and what I wanted (less brassy/yellow-yes, I had both coming through) and I also sent them pictures of me and my hair in several settings: what my hair looked like in the house, and how it looked outside in the sun and poolside). eSalon provided me with a custom color and specific instructions on how to apply the color to my hair. I was able to follow the directions and I am VERY happy with my hair color now. I colored it today and there is no need for me to put any toner/mask into my hair to tone down brassy/yellow hues. That in and of itself is fantastic. Right now, I rate eSalon a five and will continue to use them--the amount of time and money I am saving not going to a salon, for me, is great. I work full time five days a week and was never a fan of taking a weekend day or evening to "get my hair done" (I am not one who likes sitting in a salon for two hours while my hair is colored). Let's see how the color settles over the next few weeks and I will report back. Right now, yaaaa!!!

Ok, I was terrified to do this. It sounded like a great idea until the package arrived. Then, I absolutely had to do it...no excuses. My instructions said for me to do roots only. But I wanted all over color. I called and was connected with a certified hair colorist immediately. She explained why it had to be roots only. And I got a pep talk making me feel that maybe, I could actually pull this off! So I figured, “ok, I’ll play your silly game. What can I lose that can’t be fixed?” Well, all I can say is that it’s probably the best hair color I’ve ever had. It is gorgeous. My hair is shiny and full of body and life. My friends couldn’t believe how beautiful and natural looking it is. They attribute it to my skill, but I know better. I know I screwed up several times. It’s all about the beautiful color and the support I got when I called.

My colorist chose the most beautiful red highlights inside my custom color ! However, it did not " blend" the way I had hoped it would. I have sections of heavy saturation of color and barely any in others. Probably more to do with my hair than the color. I would love the " custom red" all over though!

Le kit est très pro, c'est bien expliqué, facile à poser et je suis ravie du résultat (comme chez le coiffeur!).
J'étais sceptique et finalement je souhaite maintenir mon abonnement
La seule chose qui me dérange est l'odeur de la couleur à appliquer sur les longueurs, j'avais du mal à ouvrir les yeux tellement ça me piquait. Et un peu déçue du shampoing + après-shampoing qui ne font pas des cheveux hyper doux et l'odeur n'est pas terrible.

Much better grey coverage than before. Love the shampoo and conditioner. However, my visit to my hairdresser is necessary as my hair was previously heavily highlighted and is now light blonde at the roots and slightly darker elsewhere. My next colour may be my last, as I find it very difficult to colour my hair on my own. We will see.

It was easy to use but the Ash color did not work for me, it turned out on the golden and a little brassy side. It still looked good just not quite what I hoped for. My natural color is a dirty blonde with a little gray, it did remove the gray.

I like it, and it was easy enough to do, except that I got it on the fabric shower curtain when getting into the shower to rinse it off. Nothing beats going to the Beauty Shop, but I am 73 and I'm not ready to go out among people who might have Covid-19 germs.

The first color was awful and caused me to have to use baking soda to try to remove it. The 2nd time was a very close match to my old color. The reason for the 4 stars is that I’m two weeks out from color and I’m starting to see silver streaks coming through.

I am that person who buys the obscure fancy imported shampoos, the Dyson hair everything, and flies across the country to see their stylist and colorist - I've been to the best in the country, from Koji's to Choi and beyond. $300-700 on a colorist? Sure. why not.
I never in a million years imagined I would color my precious locks at home - box color? Not on your life. COVID Quarantine Hair began to wear me down though, and the inch and a half of my natural 4.0 dark brown regrowth and abundance (abuuuundance) of greys was really clashing with my much lighter, dry, brittle, washed out brassy Goldwell 7NN/6NN/7A/7G and 8N/8G gloss more than I could handle. What's a spoiled hair diva to do?
eSalon... the ads got to me, so I did my research and took the plunge. For $22 what's the worst that could happen? For kicks I added the cape and color tools kit (mixing bowl, brush, clips, timer, etc), and a bottle of between color tint wash.
The kit arrived on Saturday and off the bat I was impressed with the quality of the packaging, supplies, instructions, and extras. I set to it, and my husband chuckled from the living room. We both expected well, box color. I couldn't have been more wrong:
I. Am. AMAZED. ASTOUNDED. The color is EXACTLY what I wanted, the shade is perfect, vibrant! My dry damaged hair is renewed to it's February splendor, so lustrous and shiny - I feel like me again. Not quarantine pj-all-day me, but luxury stepping out of the Beverly Hills salon me. I am just speechless. Never thought I would be singing the praises of color ordered online and applied at home but O MY GAWD. It's just: perfect. You guys nailed it. I am flabbergasted at the gorgeous color and truly couldn't be happier.
Listen. Take the chance, go for it. I just want to grab every person I see with drab box color, roots aplenty, tired sad blah quarantine hair and make them try eSalon. I am 100% converted for life!!! Thank you eSalon!!!

The first one I ordered was a bit too dark. For the follow-up color I requested an adjustment and it was exactly what I wanted. The colorist really do a great job of making changes to get exactly what you want.

As one who has spent 35 years going to a salon to have hair colored, I was terrified to do it myself. My uncolored hair is very gray (just about white) and after letting it grow out about 3-4 inches, I decided the gray wasn't for me. After researching options, I liked that eSalon developed a system to match color based on providing a picture, completing questions, and having stylists on staff to answer questions, so I took a chance.
When I did a strand test, the color was too light and barely covered the gray, so I called eSalon and spoke with Heather who helped to determine that the color formula needed an adjustment. She also took the time to ask about my previous salon experience with color and reviewed the picture of my hair on file as we spoke. She explained why an adjustment was needed and sent out a complimentary new color kit to try again. Also, since my gray was so grown out, she sent a little extra to ensure I would be able to cover it all.
I will need a little more practice doing it myself, but the color is amazing! It matches the base color of my ends (I had highlights), it is shiny, it penetrated my gray, and after 3 weeks, it has not faded! My expensive salon color always faded after a few weeks despite using shampoo for colored hair. I love that everything needed to color was in the box (instructons, shampoo/cond., 2 pairs of gloves, brush, and bottle).
I am high risk for COVID, so going to the salon is not an option for me. Thank you eSalon for the wonderful product, support, video, and availability during this time. I don't see spending so much money on color at a salon ever again! :)

Loving this service. Unfortunately the shipping can be a bit lengthy if ordering for Canada. So please take this into account. I have found the communication with the colorists top notch. I have had to tweek my colour a couple of times and have found the online and phone in help line excellent.

I have been ordering eSalon color during the pandemic. The color is perfect and
it is easy to follow the instruction to apply. (Best done by a helper)
My main complaint is the shipping is very slow and unpredictable even when the order
is well in advance of the use date. Post office uses a private service carrier that is terrible.
Would like to order highlight kit which is said to be out of stock.

I hate this color. Everyone I know has said how wrong it is and how it's nothing like the color I usually get. I wanted a dark Auburn, I got something almost black. My family says I look awful, and the kindest thing anyone can say is at least it's during the pandemic and so I don't have to see anyone. It's so dark customer service says there's nothing I can do but wait, and maybe color my roots as it grows out. Instead of feeling better about myself I feel awful and self conscious. I wish I'd bought the store brand. This is awful.

The product is great but shipping to Canada is more than a month long. Covid definitely doesn’t help but I had to turn off my plan for this reason only. If you’re in Canada, be aware of major shipping times.

When the box arrived I opened it and saw that the bottle had my name on it. I felt like royalty LOL it was such a nice feeling. It came with a brush to apply the color and gloves all placed neatly in the box. Before I applied this product to my hair, my hair felt dry, damaged, and frizzy it was just sad. When I first applied this product to my hair it felt different. It felt creamy (not in a bad way). It did not have a strong chemical order which was unexpected. Hair dying products I used always have a strong order which I always heated. After I washed and used the shampoo and conditioner it smelled really nice. When I blowdried it, I immediately saw and felt the difference. It looked healthier and felt soft when I ran my fingers through it. I don't think I will ever go back to the box color again.

The color was nice, customer service was great when I had an issue. The only thing I can say negative is the amount of conditioner for after coloring was no where near enough for my very long hair.

I thought I was reordering my original color and realized I did not. I wish they would make it a little easier to reorder a previous color. Got my fingers crossed for my next order.

Consistent Quality Coverage and Color

While it’s hard to color my hair myself, I love the fact I can do it at home. The color and quality is consistent and I feel safe and not unnecessarily exposed being at a salon. Until things change this will be my norm for a while.

Was easy to use and put on. Was very strong ammonia smell and almost choked on the fumes in the shower when rubbing in the water with remaining colour. Hair was super soft afterwards and colour was very good although not a vibrant enough red for me, And don’t think there’s a more vibrant red to change to, so I personally wouldn’t use again because of this but if you’re hair is more brown or blond it’s a great way of getting a lovely colour That looks professional.

I have been more pleased than I could imagine, My only issue is not being able to manipulate the back of my head which is DEFINITELY A PERSONAL PROBLEM. Esalon has been great with my color as well as ease of instructions when using the product alone in quarantine, THANK YOU ESALON!

The product arrived promptly and the color adjustment they made was the perfect shade. I only gave it 4 stars because they didn’t include an application brush and the color bled through the gloves.

The only problem was how long it too to ship. Was a week late. But the product is great! Love the color and they did a great job matching it to my hair color.
