The color was Awesome.. I just wish it would last and hold the color longer . I use a shampoo for color treated hair . And yes I do wash my hair just about everyday . But the color seems to fade out to soon .

I was amazed how great the color was in relation to what I wanted. My only concern is, the color does not seem to keep by gray away for very long . . . only about 3 weeks.

I added more red in my colour, pleased with results but when washed shampoo doesn't lather feels like a coating on my hair. Haven't experienced this before ok if washed a few times.

Happy with colour just finding it difficult to predict as to when i need them and as from england hit n miss with length of time waiting for them had to go on holiday with silver roots so will have to go back to shop bought product here im affraid with cost of product although leaves my hair in great condition along with postage bit to much right now..but give you 100% in customer care thanks esalon

The color really turned ot nicely. It's exactly like my natural color after a bit of sun. My hair gets lighter in the sun very quickly, so the roots tend do be a bit darker, especially in winter. The color did a great job on that.
Unfortunately, like other home-colors before, it didn't cover any of my gray (or, let's be honest, white) hair. It's less obvious since the darker parts are a bit lighter now, but the white hairs didn't take up ANY color. They remain exactly as they've been before.
I followed the instructions very carefully, but maybe my white hair just can't be colored. Hasn't worked with any product yet.
So 4 stars since maybe it's my hair-structure's "fault".

Second time using this as it was great first time but covered more than the re-growth this time (about an inch or more)so it looked a bit ginger this time! The texture of my hair is lovely afterwards but am going to stop touching up my roots now and let it grow out and have highlights and low lights put in

Product is excellent. But I have now been having difficulty with the grey taking the color. Not sure if should just stay dark and try not to go so red. I'm almost considering going naturally grey again

Apart from that small tweak my friends and family love my colour, I'm always having good comments about the colour , I cannot go back to shop brought brands .

I truly dislike sitting in a salon. I know! Everyone else loves it, I do not. Maybe because there are so many stylists in my family and as a kid they constantly wanted to cut my long hair?!
So I have been coloring my very salt and pepper hair at home for a long time. Sometimes I'm able to get it from a supply store but usually I just buy it at the drug store. I stopped coloring my hair in October because I wanted to see how much gray I actually have... too many! I ordered eSalon and it arrived within a few days. I put it aside for a couple of days knowing how much I dislike the whole process! What a lovely surprise for me to how pleasant this can really be! Everything you need comes in the box and is set up and ready for you to mix. The color is terrific, I am very pleased with it and I feel great with all of that gray gone! The coverage is wonderful... I just can't say enough about this product!! Thank you, I'll be back in 5 weeks!

I loved the color at first. After 1st washing, it drastically changed. Now after less than a month, I'm not sure I want to continue. Very disappointed in how quickly it fades week to week.

I am using the Demi color and the esalon team matched my dark brown perfectly. The reason for the four stars is that even with double the time on my "side burn" hairs, it still doesn't cover the grey. So need to use a permanent color on this area and then the Demi on the rest.

I had a hard time rinsing the product out of my hair. The color was a little more blonde than copper. The color holds up nicely though, and it is good quality.

Love that you can change the color or frequency of delivery at anytime. I gives my hair a great shine as well. Just wish they made portions for short haired persons, hate to throw away used product.

The color mixed for my dyed and highlighted hair was a perfect match . Would have rated 5 stars except it did not cover all my grays . Hopefully , this can be corrected next time !

Although the process can be messy, it's well worth it and a lot less expensive than the salon. I was so pleased with the color and the tinted gloss. So many compliments from people at work on the color. Will order again and again!
Added Comment: Still love the color but subsequent purchases of other products have been met with disappointment. I'll stick with the color only from now on.

I really liked the changes made, based on my request and the colorists suggestion, however, after one washing, using the Lock It shampoo it was lighter than I like. I would prefer it be made darker.

Color comes out good, but a little too dark. Need to adjust that please. I love the packaging and how you supply everything I need to color my hair myself :)

Second time I've used this now and most definitely prefer it to shop bought products. The application process is simple and easily explained and the packaging makes it a real treat to use. Only reason it doesn't have five stars is because the colour was a little on the dark side for me not that I couldn't use it but I've made an alteration to it this time round.

I can't believe how well my color was matched. If you are risking it with drug store boxes and getting all brassy for your chocolate brown you have got to try this site. Never going back to the drug store box.

It's kinda messy to diy but costs way less and it's less time consuming as well. And the color is gorgeous, I get lots of compliments on it! Plus it's cruelty free which is awesome!

The final result is beautiful, I love it. It's just hard to rinse the colour out! The conditioner smells like heaven but there's not enough of it for really long hair. If they put more conditioner in the box I'd give it 5 stars as the colour is lovely and doesn't fade.

The color was just right and I loved it, the only problem, which was no fault of theirs, is I had an allergic reaction to the chemicals. But I would recommend it

I discussed the fact my hair seem to have slight red highlights, probably from the gray areas. Hair needs to have (to me) a more natural light brown or dark blonde without red tinges.

I have been very satisfied with everything about my hair color and your efforts to provide a special individual client home salon experience. At least that's what it feels like to be pampered through the mail by you. I am using color treated hair shampoo and not washing it every day...yet still my gray roots are showing through in about 3-4 weeks. Any suggestions? I am tho king about the rout touch up. But my whole point was keep costs down.

It took some getting used to coloring at home. But now I have a method down, and the color has consistently come out well. It's the right amount of golden brown that I wanted and it blends well with the previous months' color. The only thing I don't care for is the shampoo and conditioner. I now skip using this product and use my own products.

I loved this brush SO MUCH,
BUT--the bristles over the center 2/3 of the surface keep retracting into the brush! I do NOT want a different kind of brush after discovering this one(even my 9y/o granddaughter immediately goes for this so Grammy can brush her long platinum blonde hair) we all LOVE the smooth silky shiny hair without pulling-- feels so AWESOME!!
With that being said I am so disappointed with the pushed in bristles!! I can easily pull them out, but with 1-3 brush strokes they go back in & I can't figure out a way to fix this. Brushing hair becomes tedious rather than enjoyable!
I read the reviews and noted Joyce, Cassie, Heather, & Lianne had the same problem so I know you are aware of it & working on fixing it-- have you found a fix for this??***
###Or are my two WONDERFUL BRUSHES essentially useless??
Please help me 😟😧😏

I like this colour much better than the first. Thank you for sending me the second bottle to refresh the ends of my hair. In general I am pleased with the results although the roots are rather orange compared to the rest of the hair, when I pull my hair back the roots are very bright and look rather artificial. The ends look much healthier but are beginning to fade again after a few washes and my temples are already showing white! Not sure what I am doing wrong?

I like the color and ease of applying the color. My only problem was getting the grey around my face to color completely. The color did burn somewhat after being on for a while too

I colored my hair with this product for the first time yesterday. I like the color and the product. The subsequent shampoo/conditioner left my hair very soft. It did cover most of my gray, but there are a few stubborn spots around my hairline that the dye did not affect. I know these places are hard to cover so I put generous amounts of the dye on them. It didn't completely color them, but I'd say it covered 95% of my gray.

I like the product, easy application, great coverage, lots of shine and manageability. However, I ordered Light Brown Natural Golden, and my color actually came out more of a Dark Brown.

The process was simple and easy, and my hair looks great. It felt a little squeaky for a couple of days till all the residue washed clean, but most boxed dyes do this to my hair.

I really liked the coloring, although would have preferred a hint more red. All in all, love how much I rec'd, seemed more than in a regular box coloring, but maybe it is the same amount. Very easy to use and apply.

I have been coloring my hair for years. I used to get my hair colored at the salon, but then I had children. So I had to start coloring my hair at home. After several failed attempts, I found a brand and shade of a box color that I liked. I used it for many years. Unfortunately, my hair started going gray. The box color that I had been using specifically stated "not for gray hair". I kept using it, but my roots were so obvious when I colored them (almost worse than if I had just let them be). I saw eSalon advertised online. I read the reviews and thought, why not give it a try. I am so glad that I did. Even without me sending a photo, they were able to create a color that matched exactly the same shade I had been using...but it really covers my gray hairs!
The color itself does have an odor when mixed, however this odor comes out once you wash your hair and it's nothing that the bathroom fan can't handle. My old box color used to make my hair stink for at least a day or two.
I was also very impressed with the packing of the product. It's perfect. Everything you need, all neat and tidy in a box. The kit comes complete with easy to understand instructions (plus a handy little sticker so that you can tack them up onto the bathroom mirror while you're coloring). The gloves are high quality and will not tear when you put them on. The kit also included packets of stain guard, shampoo, conditioner and stain remover.
I can't say enough about this product/service. Not only was the color match perfect, but my hair doesn't feel like it's been colored (the old box stuff was so harsh on my hair). In addition, I don't have to remember when it's time to color my hair. The color will be created and auto-shipped to me based upon the schedule that I selected.
If you're reading the reviews, then you need to just give eSalon a try.

I love the color, doesn't wash off, the only dislike is that takes ages to wash it off the hair when dying, feels like you have oil paint on your hair, you have to shampoo your hair several times, however I think is the best dye I ever used and I've used a lot of dyes

I am a frequent traveler and have a hard time finding a good hair dresser every 6 weeks. Colors would change etc....this way I have the same color and I just have to ask a friend to help!
