The smell of peroxide was pretty strong in the last couple of orders. Also my hair is more frizzy after the coloring.

It was the biggest mistake I've ever made to order personalised color. I am blond and usually going for light highlights or Bright warm colours. I decided to order from this company as it looked legit. Turned out that color they sent me was red instead of light blond. Not only this - dye almost burned my scalp. I would not recommend it to anyone. Deleting my account.

I have been confused about why the root color is brown and the strand color is red when I wanted red hair. I worked with it a few times trying to do it their way but always ended up blotchy. This time while I was coloring my roots I decided to pull the remaining through my hair to freshen up my color. My hair is brown. I don’t want brown hair. I think this is too complicated for me and just not the right fit.

I color often, and baby my hair with masks, leave in conditioners and UVA products. This was way to strong for me even in just the teeny time allowed for ends. Now the ends are fried. I want to cancel any further shipments. Thanks anyways.

I wanted to like this but am disappointed both in the colour and in the coverage. The colour is more brown than I wanted (going for copper) and the ends did not turn out the same colour as the rooms - quite different. I am now going to have to get my hair professionally fixed.

I ordered a medium blonde to lighten my hair. As the colour was developing, I noticed that my hair was going darker and darker. When I rinsed my hair out, I was surprised to find that my hair went dark brown NOT blonde. I am very disappointed and found this product to be a huge waste of money. Will not be buying again.

I had them adjust my color because the grays weren’t getting covered by these colors. And now that it’s been adjusted it’s worse you can see my grays all over the place now.

So, I’ve always dyed my own hair but decided I wanted better hair dye. This was my second box. I’m supposed to have black hair dye but my roots are red? I saw the good reviews and thought to give it a try. I have black hair and some gray hair. The color (copper mahogany)itself was really nice but I was really disappointed with the coverage. Followed the process 100% but still, my gray hair wasn't covered at all. My black hair has really nice color but what's the point for color if it doesn't cover gray hair. Really disappointed.

I have tried eSalon’s ash blonde demi-permanent color twice now on my level 8 hair.. The first time was eSalon’s 8.1 medium ash blonde, which turned out like a level 6-7 light brown on me. It washed out eventually after using a whole bottle of clarifying shampoo. I alerted eSalon and they adjusted the next order to 9,1 ash blonde which I tried a month later. It wasn’t as dark, but on me it still turned out about a level 7. They were both pretty colors, but darker than I was looking for. Maybe demi-permanent color just doesn’t work on me.

I did not want to sign up for automatic sending of product. When I first ordered I wanted to see if I even like the product, and before long I was receiving package way too often. This pissed me off because I am being charged for shit I dont need or want.

i don't know if this batch that i got was a new mix but i left it on my bathroom cart for 15 minutes only to come back and find all the contents completely oozed out of the bottle and unto my cart, which is now damaged. i tried to salvage whatever i could scoop up and tried to color my hair, immediately my eyes started to burn and tear up, and the smell of ammonia was overbearing, not to mention that i started to get sick to my stomach. I immediately washed it out of my hair. I should also mention that my son used the bathroom and told me that he felt like he was going to throw up while using the bathroom, i didn't put two and two together until i went in there and i started to feel this as well. I am cancelling my subscription immediately and going back to what i used before which never gave me any side effects at all. Highly disappointed. And i hope i don't have any lingering side effects from this. I hope if anyone reads this in hopes of trying this product, they will reconsider purchasing from this company.

The color I received was nowhere near what I wanted. I do understand that can happen based on many things so that I could have dealt with. But… I followed instructions and by a week from the day I colored my hair roots around my face were already gray! This product also dried my hair out horribly. So disappointing! Back to my drug store brand I go.

The color chosen was not as described in the picture I selected. The red was not present, only a very unpleasant blond. I also found no place I could activate the "Guarantee".

I have specifically informed them that i want to go ash brown they said its not doable but they can ho a shade lighter from what my current color is. I was fine with this . Did my color today and it turned black! Black! The communication was fine but the outcome is not. I was very precise to let them know that i do not want yi put chemicals on my hair if they will not be able to give me a good outcome. But still i have this black hair now. Not happy at all.

Mit der ersten Bestellung und der Farbe war ich überhaupt nicht zufrieden, keine ausreichende Grauabdeckung etc.
Anscheinend wurde automatisch ein Abo abgeschlossen und da die Bestellbestätigung in meinem Spam gelandet ist, kam die Bestellung unerwartet bei mir an und der Betrag wurde mir sofort von der Kreditkarte abgezogen. Meine E-Mail-Beschwerde ging an irgendeine Adresse in London und ich habe bis heute keine Rückmeldung erhalten. Ich bin weder mit den Produkten noch mit der Abwicklung zufrieden und kann das Konzept und die damit verbundenen Versprechungen überhaupt nicht weiterempfehlen.

C'est la troisième fois que je fais une commande sur eSalon. Pour cette dernière commande j'ai choisi une couleur plus foncée que la précédente tout en exprimant mes doutes, mes hésitations. De plus, j'ai également précisé qu'il fallait une touche de vert dans la composition car mes cheveux ont tendance à prendre des reflets roux que je n'aime pas du tout. Je suis très étonnée de n'avoir eu aucun retour, échanges avec un conseiller et également déçue de constater qu'il n'y a pas de touche de vert dans la composition de la couleur que je viens de recevoir. Je ne l'ai pas encore testée car j'ai un peur du résultat (trop foncé ou avec des reflets).

The last dye I received was too light. I think it was mixed wrong. My roots ended up light brown instead of dark brown to match the rest of my hair. I had to buy hair dye from a beauty supply to fix it.
Need better gray coverage. My grays will reappear after the second wash after dying with this dye. I have mentioned this before and no improvements have been made.

I heard good reviews so thought yo try. However it didn’t work for multiple reasons, the color had redish undertone, it didn’t cover my grays at all.
The smell is very intense too so i will be canceling.

Wowwww, this color was bad. My ends were literally matte black. The Demi has faded, expected, but to a terrible brassy color. I asked to reformulate and was given the same color? And instructions to only color my roots? So I should leave the mid length brassy, die the roots chalky black. Great solution! Time to call the professionals and get a real hair color.

I only wanted to try the colour once but Ive been sent another one and asked to pay customs charge of almost €10
I've tried to cancel after first order but website is so difficult to use and option not there to cancel.
Would not reccomend this company. No reply from previous contact made to stop future orders being sent. To it looks like a bit if a scam.

I have been using esalon for a while now. And at first my color was awesome. And the coverage was amazing. I felt beautiful after coloring my hair. Simple instructions fast shipping. But after a few shipments my hair started being a yellow color (not blonde but yellow) and my grey hair looked more predominate..so I emailed my colorist and she adjusted the color. My hair looks worse and the grey hair. Well u can see almost everyone of them suckers. :( I am not sure what happened between my first few orders to now. But I hate my hair color and the adjustments made it worse.

J’avais tellement d’espoir et maintenant j’ai surtout du regret :(
1- je suis habitué à colorer mes cheveux, j’utilise des colorations pro (Schwarzkopf) et des colorations achetées au supermarché, et jamais je n’ai eu une coloration qui sentait comme celle-ci. L’odeur est insoutenable, mes yeux n’ont pas arrêté des perdre des « larmes » j’arrivais à peine à respirer !
2- la couleur n’est pas du tout la couleur présentée quand j’ai passé commande ! J’ai demandé du châtain moyen irisé, et maintenant mes cheveux sont noirs, ternes et complètement cassés ! Même les couleurs acheté au supermarché correspond plus au photos que la vôtre !!! Très déçu 😔

I had a couple of orders and LOVED my color. I did not order for a while and when I ordered again I thought I said all the same things but the color was very fake looking red. A red that is very unnatural. For my next ordered I looked up my previous color and put that in the note and I received the same FAKE UGLY RED! I really liked the original color so I’m willing to try one more time.. but it’s impossible to even contact anyone so im not going to hold my breath. Too bad. I really wanted to like this company!

It was easy to apply. After the application my hair was smooth and shiny. I really like the color it was a perfect match however all of the grays weren’t covered.

It's been a couple weeks since I colored my hair and it looked wonderful for the first week, then the color started coming out even with a shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair. My old bleach job and grays are now totally visible. The gloves were also way too small for my hands and I had to purchase others.

It really didn't last any longer than the original order. I even got the shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair. I only was washing it twice a week. So I don't know if my hair is just growing faster or my gray hair is just absolutely stubborn. For all over coverage is great and fantastic color. I have purchased from esalon a long time now. No complaints there.

This hair dye is NOT for all black women or men. At Ieast I know it's not for 100% African hair texture.....i.e. 4c hair. I should have known before purchasing, most of the women on the ad were non-black women. Did NOT cover my Grey hair like I expected. Usually when I use other brands e.g. shaemoisture, nutriant etc I get 100% coverage. Plan to get my money back.

It did not match my natural color. After I dyed it the color looks very unnatural. The dye dried my hair out so bad. It now feels damaged and super dry all the time. I will not use this product again and will tell all my friends and family not to use this product.

Très déçue du résultat, la couleur est beaucoup beaucoup trop foncée, j'ai pris châtain clair et j'ai l'impression d'être châtain foncé! J'avais demandé lorsque de ma commande des tons jaunes ( non oranges ni rouges), que je ne retrouve pas... Du coup maintenant, esalon, comment je ratrape ça svp ?
Dernière chose, la quantité de la coloration, vraiment très juste, je n'ai pas eu assez de produit pour faite toutes mes longueurs à l'arrière, j'ai une tignasse très épaisse il faut dire, mais voilà....

I have light brown hair but it pulls really red whenever I lighten it. I tried going just one shade lighter than my natural color but it kept looking brassy. I tried leaving it on longer and getting more neutralizer in the formula but it's just not what I was hoping for. Everyone thought I was trying to color my hair red when I was trying to go neutral. I guess I'm someone who will have to go to an actual salon to get what I'm looking for.

I gave eSalon a chance with 3 separate orders. The color does not cover gray, comes out patchy, and severely damaged my hair. I’ve colored my own hair for years and this is truly the worst at home hair color I’ve ever used. It’s very poor quality.

I didn’t have great expectations, but the color is off, and when my roots grew out there was quite a difference in color. Because of the pandemic, I felt it best to continue with Esalon until local salons could fix my hair back to my natural color.
Overall, I’m simply not pleased with the color.
I notified Esalon, and they adjusted it a bit for my next order, but then I had 3 different colors after the roots grew out a bit.

The color was a little better than the last but it really fried my hair! My hair is like hey now!! I hate how my hair feels!

Didn't cover roots well

Have used same color before with better results - didn't cover my roots very well. Even tried again after shampooing with leftover color and just didn't take. Will be rethinking buying this again.....was using to freshen roots between salon colors and it would get me a few weeks, but not this time, so ended up going back to salon the following week. Not cost effective when it doesn't work.... :(

I bought this product after reading the reviews but this product was disappointing for me as it did not cover my grey hair at all. I would like a refund.

Got the wrong color!!

You sent me the wrong color. Completely messed up my last order order and sent me a dark brown instead of copper golden. It took me years of professional care to get to the color and now my hair looks ridiculous.
