Not worth itI really wanted to like this but I was sadly disappointed. Firstly I sent a photo and asked for assistance with the color. Instead they sent me the one I picked which too dark and harsh for my skin tone. It looks terrible. Secondly on the 2nd day after coloring I developed a reaction on my neck and behind my ears. Colour yes coverage noI like parts of the colour but ended up as 3 different shades on hair even though I followed instructions to the letter. Not Quite What I Was Hoping ForThe hair color went in fine and did not leave my hair dry. However, the color was not quite what I had asked for and each week it just keeps getting lighter. My hair is several shades lighter than when it was first dyed; something that has never happened to me with previous hair dye. I always expect some change the first few washings but with each washing, my hair continues to lighten. Does not cover greysI ordered this color for two reasons.. grey coverage and to go a little lighter. The color covered my greys for a few washes and then washed out. Don't BotherI ordered this product with high hopes for covering my gray roots. I received the product two weeks after my order was processed. ( I am practically in the same Zip Code). The color was a good match. It lasted for 10 days. I called Esalon and had a long chat with a colorist who tweaked the formula and said a replacement would be sent out immediately. Two weeks later-no color. When I called to find out what had happened, I was told they planned to send the replacement out at the next scheduled interval , whenever that was. The order was then RE-placed, and I waited again. It's now 10 days later; the order was picked up by the post office, but still has not arrived. Customer service said, fine do you want a refund? Probably should have used boxed dye insteadI was expecting the medium ash pearl brown to actually be a lighter brown color, but it's extremely dark on my hair. Maybe it wasn't meant for blonde hair, but my light brown roots have a dark reddish color now. I received a sample of shampoo and conditioner which the brand seemed expensive, and claimed to be ultra moisturizing and great for hair. Well, not for mine. It was a pretty drying product. The conditioner from L'Oréal Feria products saves lives though, highly recommend. Ultimately I wanted to go close to my natural hair color - then I end up with a near black color and very dry hair. Too dark and no redI’m an auburn redhead, My first eSalon color was very nice, but I wanted it a bit brighter with more red. I consulted my colorist and, for the second order, I said I wanted a brighter, redder color, and asked her to look at my photos. She sent me dark brown and copper with no red. This would not have been too terrible if I had only colored my roots. But, as per the instructions, I poured the leftover dye over my ends. The result is dark brown hair with no red at all, The ends are almost black. Color did not blend from roots to ends.When coloring my roots, the color saturated very well and I was pleased with the overall color itself. However, it did not blend throughout my hair (after I followed all of the application and blending instructions scrupulously - and this is not my first rodeo). When reordering, I tried to order a new color (slightly different shade) by attempting leaving comments as directed on the website so the colorists would be alerted to this problem. But the website did not pick up my comments, or even allow me to make any comments or adjustments to my order. So I thought I'd try the same color again, just in case it was me, not the color. Nope, exact same result. I tried again (multiple times over several weeks) to update my order to get my color adjusted - website never worked. Today I called and spoke to Jen. She told me that unless I am on a color plan, I can NOT make any adjustments to my color. I will note that there is nothing on the website that says this. Now, I guess I have to figure out how to clear out an account, so I can start completely over? Because she said my problem was my search history/cookies. For the record, I've not only attempted to do the same function about 7 different times, I've used two different computers on two completely separate systems. Pretty sure it's not that - and I told her this, and got silence. And talking to Jen was a complete exercise in frustration for so many reasons in addition to this. However, I'll leave that for a discussion with anyone representing the company if they decide to call me back. Bottom line, not the worst color I've ever received, but one of the worst on-line experiences in terms of non-responsiveness of both the site and the staff. Awful business practicesI purchased what I thought was a one time color order to get me through the covid19 stay at home order but was surprised to get a notice from PayPal of another shipment. I logged on and canceled the subscription right away and called to try to get the charges reversed since it took 2 WEEKS to receive my initial color order but was told they could not reverse the charges or stop the order. PLEASE do not be sucked in by these poor business practices. I'll never use this service again and will never recommend this company to others. Darker than my natural colour, too warm for my skin. No reply from ColouristThe colour was different from what I was expecting. I was told the colour I chosen was much lighter than my natural colour, and I was suggested to go to a darker shade, which I accepted. The colourist sent me an email with the colour suggestion which I wasn't happy with so I wrote him back straight away to ask for a few adjustments, but he never replied. In fact I wrote him twice. The colour he chosen was shipped anyway and being in Lockdown with very long roots I didn't have a choice so I used it anyway. the colour turned out to not be as bad, but one or 2 shades darker than my natural colour and too warm for my skin colour. My skin is olive so warm shades don't suit me. I tried to adjust my colour BEFORE it was shipped but no response. I was so hopeful I wouldn't have t go back to hairdresser saloon, where I spend a fortune and a good chunk of my day.... But I guess this is why we pay the extra money, so you can actually speak to a professional and have a proper personalised service.....Hope my colour will be adjusted on next order otherwise I'll just have to be patient and go back to my hairdresser as soon as the quarantine is over. 1 di 1 persone pensano che questa recensione sia utile. ammonia and sulfiteI thought that I was receiving Madison Reed products. I cannot use products with ammonia or sulfites. I had used Madison Reed without any problems that I purchased at Ulta. The product that I received from eSalon caused an allergic reaction with hives requiring the use of rescue allergy medications. I also had scabs on my head for a few days. Strong ammoniaThe smell of regret singed my nose and eyes from the moment I mixed this color. While it did a great job covering 30% stubborn grey, my hair smelled like ant poison for a day. I’d like to say the color was worth it, but my fine curly hair was transformed into a reddish brown Brillo pad. I carefully processed 20 min per the directions, left it 5 min in my ends, and although it’s consistent- it’s flat- no dimension or copper red tone at all. Daily conditioner, leave in treatment, and hair oils for a week have barely helped. Not customThis bums me out. I have tried countless times to tweak this hair color, but can’t get in touch with anyone. I have e-mailed/submitted questions and gotten no response, other than to say my color (unchanged) is “on the way”. It feels like a waste of time and I feel ignored at this point. Poor choiceFollowing every direction, this item did NOT work. It only slightly tinged my hair orange instead of lifting to a medium blonde. I also added it to the bottom fringe of my daughter’s hair for a little fun, with literally no change. So Upset with My Ruined HairI thought I was so careful to follow all of the directions and watched all of the videos but I got black/dark brown ends with a nice red-blonde color over the rest. I immediately sent an email asking for help but after no response I have scheduled an expensive repair at a salon. I am a natural strawberry blonde and only started dying my hair last year when I began to see grey's. Chemical smell was aweful!!Somewhat disappointed in the product! asked to not have a red tint to my color! I have a red tint to my hair! Also, my husband had to use a respirator mask when he helped apply my color! The chemical smell was AWEFUL!! We both have respiratory problems! Uneven coloringDecided to do something a little different from just dark brown and choose to try Dark Brown (Intense Pearl). There's NO PURPLE anywhere. Front part of my head is at least the dark brown but the back is a red-ish brown and under in the back is light basically my natural color still. I HAVE A LOT OF HAIR IT'S LONG THICK AND CURLY. I submitted pictures to make sure they knew how much hair I have. 2 bottles although I Was assured would be enough definitely wasn't and I knew it wouldn't be. When doing it at home I used 3-4 boxes of dye and when I had it done in a salon setting was told I used the amount of dye she would use for 3 heads. Wrong Color Every TimeI have tried this product 4 times, Everything else is great. The packaging, ease of use, and even the color coverage. However, every single time they have sent me the wrong color. I have requested red/auburn from the very first time. My hair was blonde. If they got it right the first time it would have been perfect. Four tries later, I still ended up with brown hair with a slight red tint. I have determined it's not worth it to keep trying. Good colour but...The colour was good but the roots of my hair were a shade lighter even though I left it on for as long as recommended. The colour for the ends turned my hair nearly black so I wore a hat a lot for a few weeks. They didn't take into account I wanted to keep my lighter ends even though I specified. Not happy with my color outcomeAlthough my hair seemed to stay in good condition, my color outcome was not good. My hair, which I noted, tends to go brassy. With the hair color that was sent my hair was orange to brass color. Not a good look. It did not cover up the grey, but at least the grey is not brassy. What a strange color of hair I have right now. Have not been able to find anything to take the brass out. Just have to go with a carrot top for now. 😔. Very UnhappyThis color didn't work on my dark hair - I followed the instructions exactly and even tried another bottle and had my husband do it a second time. Still no results! Great colorI like the color. First time it lasted months. Second time it's lasted two weeks and the gray is starting to show. I also bought the rinse. I'm not liking the way it makes my hair feel. I thought the color was right until I looked at the order and should of gotten the darker choice. Super BrassyI had high hopes for this hair color, unfortunately I am so unhappy with my color. I specifically stated when I ordered that I didn't want any brassiness and now I ended up with ginger dark blond hair.... which is fine if that's what you want but it was supposed to be a beige ashy blond to prevent the brassiness. The smell was also horrendous I couldn't be in the shower with the shower curtain closed because I couldn't breathe from the ammonia. Now I need to figure out what will happen if I put regular box dye over this to correct the color. Waxy feeling on hairI don't know if it's just me or not but this color, shampoo, and/or conditioner left a waxy feeling on my hair and a weird waxy buildup on my scalp. Customizable ColorGood Afternoon- I understand that I was able to notate that I was unhappy with the color from my first order, but when I colored my hair, I was disappointed because my hair looked black rather than dark brown. I followed all of the steps when picking out the personalized color and even washed the color out a few minutes earlier. I felt embarrassed to complain, so I canceled my future orders, but I apparently canceled too late and my order shipped out the next day. I am not sure what to do with the product I currently have, and cannot use being that it is only to color my roots and the rest of my hair has since lightened. Great Color but not for me!Hello eSalon, I only rated this color at 3 because I thought that it was going to be more blonde than copper. I should have known that the copper was going to overtake the blonde on my grey/white hair. It is not your fault that now my hair is intense copper all over with hardly any blonde except slightly around the edges. I don't like it. However, everything else was fine and the entire kit was great. Had I picked the right color for me (maybe a solid blonde) I would have been able to give a 5 rating. I was very impressed with the entire kit, with detailed instructions and all items seemed of high quality. Still have greys.....The kit and process was easy to understand and use. I am 38 with a few grey hairs throughout and the color did not cover the few that I have, it also did not cover evenly from the top to bottom of my hair. Not the color I was shownI had picked the color I wanted a dark auburn with copper highlights. Not even closeI have dark brown hair with highlights and want an all over color. I went med golden brown and it made my hair even darker but also red. Not happy with the results at all.I feel like I would have had better luck with store bought.
