I was so nervous to try this tonight and wow what a result! Over the last 2 years ive spent so much on getting my hair lightened (Balliage) i decided i wasnt going to pay it any more so took the risk and tried it myself. The packaging and instructions from esalon is so personal yet professional i felt like someone was there holding my hand throughout. I also have light and dark extensions in so i was so nervous that i was going to get a different colour but i never, its exactly the same as my extensions! Theres no going back now for me, thank you Esalon for your product and service, what a fab idea you have come up with which actually works! P.s the shampoo and toner was also amazing!!!

I’ve been with esalon for over a year now! Never again will I go to a salon. Today I tried the light kit for the first time and fell in love!! Using esalon’s “how-to” video it was incredibly easy. The highlights accentuate my fresh color beautifully and I couldn’t be happier. My hair looks and feels soft and shiny. The shampoo that comes with the light kit smells fantastic and the toner mask left my hair smooth and silky. I haven’t had a base color and highlights I’ve EVER been this happy with at an actual salon where I paid much much more. Thank you again esalon for making such quality products at an affordable price and for sending them perfectly packaged with clear, personalized instructions. You are the best!!

I've never used high lights in my hair before, because it seemed like having high lights only ment big streaks down the hair, it looked unnatural to me. Your Light Set "ROCKS"!!! It just looks like I've been out in the sun, WOW Thanks 👍

I recently used the light kit ,same day as me doing my roots and boy was it worth it.. Hair looks really good and I received many compliments .
I just sat in front of bathroom mirror and had the instructions going on my iPad .
Colour and lights look great .

I love the fact that everything comes with step-by-step and it makes everything so much more simpler whenever you're just doing it by yourself all the coloring all the highlights all of it. I had a harder time with the highlights then I would like to admit I would definitely have a sister or best friend or mom to help- it will make it easier. It's a little hard to do highlights but the way they explain in detail how to with esalon is amazing I love my highlights they're perfect everything has been a wonderful experience with myself and also with my sister and a couple of my friends so we highly recommend

I absolutely loved this light set that eSalon has to offer, My hair was a bit dark, and wanted to add some warmth to my face, I tried it, Not that difficult, And it added the perfect touch of warmth to my hair for the summer, I plan to use it again, in like 5 more weeks, thank you eSalon and my color stylist for recommending it to me!

Just adds to the overall look… I couldn’t believe how easy it was! When the colour is on I was reading I had done it wrong but once rinsed and dried, the lights are so subtle you can’t really go wrong! Love!

This is really good for at-home highlighting! It’s my go-to! I recommend for sure! The only reason I didn’t give it all 5 stars is because it doesn’t have as much lasting power after a few washes as other at-home highlight kits I’ve used. I use it for precise, baby highlights. It does seem to be very safe on my hair and non-damaging. I would like it even better if it had a bit more colorfastness after a few shampoos. It tends to get brassier a little earlier than others I’ve tried but I combat this with anti-brass masks.

This kit is extremely easy to use. Just watch the how-to videos on the eSalon website or even YouTube videos of people using this kit and follow the instructions. I personally started the highlights from below my ears down and it gave me a very nice melt of light brown to blonde balyage and highlights. I got so many compliments and people can't people I did my hair at home. I will definitely be using this kit again and highly recommend.

I love light set! I have spent so much on highlights in the salon and sometimes they turned out to light or spotty and I paid alot. I have also tried highlights at home and got a really bad yellow result and had to get my hair fixed after trying to just save money I ended up spending more. This product was easy to use and the result was perfect carmel not brassy highlights. I love it and will continue to use this everytime I want highlight!!

I love this company, I sent a picture of the color of my hair and they got it correct the first time. If you need help ordering you just call them and you get a live person. In this day and age it's very hard to get help over the the phone. I'm looking to change my hair color and I'm not scared because I know this company is professional and knows what they are doing.

I was so nervous to try this, but I’m so happy I did. I’ve never had highlights before because I’m always just doing my roots. The instructions made it so easy to do & I love how it turned out, so pretty & makes my hair look so much fuller.

I feel I've gotten really good at this. The first couple times I made mistakes but was able to get personal help from the eSalon colorists, after that, I've seen amazing results. By the way, if they say steep slopes, they mean STEEP slopes. That was the trick that made my results look pro!

I was petrified of doing at-home highlights but between masks and my income changing, my box dye brown was looking kinda sad. So, I ordered the Light Set and am amazed at my results! The eSalon toner is key! I now have multidimensional, golden (not orange) blonde, natural looking highlights. I always pull orange but this formula is perfect. Instead of doing six larger sections, I finger painted tiny strands all over my head, across three layers of hair. It requires some patience but so worth the effort. Just remember to tone the full fifteen minutes and really saturate each and every section of your hair.

My hair has gotten very gray/white since I started using esalon. My roots were so much lighter then the color I hd been using that I used a light kit to strip my hair. I coated my hair in argon oil and then went for it. After lightening I colored my hair the requested lighter shade. Damage? My hair feels WAY more healthy then before. Love love love.

This highlighting set did wonders for my hair. It added so much dimension and gave the perfect sunkissed glow. It looked so good that when I went to the salon for a hair cut the stylist keep saying, “I wish I could take credit for your hair color, it’s stunning!” She was shocked when she found out I do it myself and have been for years.

I used this and got obvious change of colour marks on the strand which stood out rather a lot. Plus the hair was very much lighter, probably my fault, maybe over processed. So beware , get the technique right ! I actually got a great result by using a spare colour (an e-salon one) all over and now the high lights are perfect.
Right or wrong it worked and covered my mistake so not such a disaster more a salon looking finish !

Ayant les cheveux blond à blond foncés, j'ai opté pour le balayage "Blond clair", car je voulais avoir un effet retour de vacances dans les cheveux.
J'ai tout de suite été très contente du produit, dès sa réception. Les produits se trouvent dans une boite. 2 paires de gants sont fournis, et même le pinceaux ! Il est d'ailleurs réutilisable. C'est vraiment très pratique de le fournir avec, alors merci.
Le produit se mélange très facilement, ça sent un peu fort, mais c'est normal. Par contre, l'odeur se dissipe vite, et ne reste pas longtemps. Certains autres produits, d'autres marques sentent vraiment fort, et l'odeur reste longtemps ... Mais pas avec celui-ci !
L'application à été très simple. Tout est bien indiqué. Vous avez même une vidéo en ligne si vous ne savez pas comment faire.
Pour le résultat, je suis à 100% satisfaite ! C'est exactement ce que je recherchais : Un effet retour de vacances, soleil et mise en lumière dans mes cheveux. Les mèches ont très bien pris et j'ai pu obtenir un joli blond clair sur les mèches balayées. Ça se fond très bien avec l'ensemble de mes cheveux. Bref, j'en suis ravie.
Pour les cheveux, ils sont un peu secs après, mais rien d'anormal vu qu'il s'agit d'un balayage.
Gros + pour les soins fournis avec ! Le shampoing m'a fait 1 seule utilisation, mais le format du masque est super et généreux, il m'en reste pour les prochaine fois.
Je pense que je vais rester sur cette marque pour mes futurs balayages !

I have had good results with this kit. No, it doesn’t look like the professional highlights I would get in the salon, but it gave my medium brunette hair depth, and gave it a sun-kissed look, very natural. I found best results are when I apply to VERY small amounts (like 5-10 strands) rather than the wider strands of hair. I’d rather have more highlights with smaller bits of hair, rather than fewer highlights with large chunks of hair. Watch the videos online,they were very helpful. And have some wet paper towels available if you need to wipe off your fingers between strands.

I love a nice subtle highlight moment and this is by far my favorite highlighting kit. You just can't go wrong with it and even if you make a mistake it just blends well. I have had to do a few times to get the lightness I want as I find it's very very subtle, but I would definitely continue to buy. My only advice if you have long hair, you will need two or a bigger amount. I always justttt have enough when highlighting. Wish there was a bit more product.

I FINALLY got the highlights I have spent years asking for! I have super dark brown hair and have always wanted the most subtle lightening of the pieces around my face and down on my ends. I was able to place the highlights exactly where I wanted them and lighten to exactly the color I wanted. After spending thousands over the years in the salon, getting a head full of foils when I only wanted subtle highlighting, I am finally satisfied! I respect hair stylists 100% because this was a bit of a challenge and I did get a little nervous and wash it out too early but it still came out how I wanted. I’m going to order again this summer!

I haven't gotten the chance to fully highlight my hair but what I have been able to do looks good. It was very easy and I plan to do it again when my color is what I want all the time.

My hair is dark and I’ve been dying it a dark brown for years. I used the light set to ombré my hair and the blonde came out beautifully and no damage which blew my mind.

I was super scared to use bleach on myself for the first time, but this kit worked so well and my hair looks amazing. I haven’t been to the salon in almost 3 years now (because of life challenges and the pandemic) and everyone still asks me where I go to get my hair done. Esalon has saved my hair and wallet. Wish I would have taken a before photo. Next time.

I have long and THICK hair. I can trip over something that’s not even on the ground, clumsy as they come 🤦🏻♀️ I was really nervous about doing this myself. My husband helped me the first time to make sure it was even. It was so simple and the directions were great. After rinsing I was so shocked at how well my hair looked and it was sooo soft!! I have dark almost black hair and this was a hit! I have never gotten so many compliments and I did it myself. When asked where I got my hair done people were shocked I did it at home lol. I also use aura fuchsia pigmented conditioner which I’ll never go back to regular conditioner after being introduced to their line!!

I’m very happy with how the highlights turned out. The consistency of the paste made it so much easier to keep concentrated to the targeted areas compared to other products I’ve used and the toning mask after really made a difference in reducing brassy tones (other toners have been less effective yet somehow seem harsher on my hair). Great first time experience. Particularly for someone that has goofed up my hair more than once! Signing up to try more products.
Another noteworthy comment: A stylist contacted me to redirect my original selection and I really appreciate that. Instead of just selling the product, it seems eSalon wants customers to be successful in the results. Trust keeps customers.

I love having this option to do some highlighting at home. I would say go light the first time and don’t overdo it until you get the hang of it. But I was very impressed with my subtle highlights the first time and feel more confident about doing it again. Great product!

I used this to give subtle highlights round my face as I was not confident about doing the back of my head. I was pretty pleased about the effect and would recommend it as a lightener. I had it in the cupboard for 3 months before trying. Maybe I’ll try for an all over sun kissed look next time! Nice kit!

I have to say I was super nervous to try this out. I watched about 20 videos and hyped myself up to finally give it a go. I have very thick long hair. I normally get highlights and my base is a ash blonde color. My roots were a good 3”-4” grown out so I wanted to add some light back in without having to shell out $300 at a salon and endure hours of sitting there. The results were subtle but gave my hair more dimension.

I get lots of compliments on my highlights and can't believe how easy it is to highlight and maintain highlights at home using the light set. I adore the BR2+ mask, it is the only product bringing life back into my hair this bitterly dry/cold/hellish winter in ND. It makes my hair softer/smoother/stronger. Could we PLEASE get it sold separately also?? I would buy tons of it and use it weekly as I have long hair.

I tried the light set for the first time two months months ago. I wasn't sure how to apply it but I need not have been concerned as the instructions and illustrations are very clear, the light set has it's own mixing tray and is very easy to mix and apply. There are video's available on the eSalon website which are very helpful and I would suggest having a look before you make a decision. The results are excellent, looking forward to receiving my next light set in a couple of weeks.

I had nightmares worrying whether I would be able to complete the hi-lights without messing them all up, would they be too fat, too skinny, too zebra looking, would they bleed to the hair next to it without using foils? Oh my gosh...this was so darn SIMPLE and EASY. I was so excited with the outcome. After using eSalon's colors and hi-lights I couldn't keep my mouth shut for days. I have told everyone just how simple the process is and actually, it was fun too. I can rest at ease and Dream now just knowing how easy the whole color to hi-light process is. The anticipation for the next time I will need this process is exciting.

I was pleasantly surprised by the end result. Considering I was doing it by myself, it turned out pretty good. I watched the video twice. Yes, the back was a bit challenging, but it worked out. I am a dark brunette and the highlights was a nice caramel. I will definitely repeat. The products smells nice and I actually enjoyed using the toner. Got also good compliments from people at the office on virtual calls.

Yes please, love this set, so easy to use and follow the directions. I used the brush and it came out great on my hair!

I have never applied my own highlights before and I was a little nervous but it was so easy. The instructions were clear and the product was thick so didn't drip or make any mess. The smell was not strong and it didn't irritate my skin. I would have liked a lighter result with less warmth but my hair is quite dark and golden, plus my root regrowth was around 3" so quite a lot to lighten. I'm hopeful to get it lighter on my next application. My hair feels soft and silky and not over processed at all. I think it is value for money but I would be happier if it was a bit less.

I wasn’t really nervous to do it myself but I honestly didn’t know how it would turn out.
Not only easy peasy but I got more compliments and questions asking who did my hair and am still getting them! I will be ordering again for next summers highlights😌

love this colour product its so quick and easy to use it leave my hair looking natural and shinny and the smell is much better than shop bought products the added bonus the TEAM are there for support and any changes you need to make .
