Sorry the shampoo did nothing to repair my hair. Applied and once sudsed up hair felt grungy crunchy matted and smelled like a wet dog. Turned into a tangled mess I couldnt get my fingers through never mind my wide toothed comb.
Thank goodness the conditioner helped to smooth and detangle slightly. I have never experienced this with any product.
I left hair to dry naturally then put a ton of conditioning serum I had in my bag (thank goodness!) Managed to comb through but hair did not feel or look healthy or shiny like it usually would. I feel very disappointed that the products did not work at all for my hair (coloured and long). Top marks for the lovely packaging just a real shame the product inside was a let down

It came in a bag filled with shampoo about 1/4 to 1/2 the bottle because the bottle was not secure. The plastic piece on the opening was busted. When you spend $40 on shampoo & conditioner this is unacceptable.

When I ordered this set I was looking for a color safe shampoo & conditioner. The shampoo cleanses nicely and lathers well, yet the conditioner does not detangle my hair well at all. I don't like the feel of my hair when I apply this conditioner. I have even let it absorb into my hair after applying for 5-10 minutes in the shower and it just does not condition well. On the plus side, I continued looking for an eSalon product that would better meet my conditioning needs and I found one! If you're looking for a conditioner that really improves hair softness and shine and detangles like a dream, try eSalon's Weekly Retreat!

This shampoo n conditioner is horrible, not only did ,it tangle my hair so bad, that I had to use a different conditioner to relax my hair n it took all the color out, that I just dyed a couple of weeks ago, which is a beautiful reddish brown color now it's just brown n my gray is already coming through. Not happy at all with this shampoo and conditioner! I'm sorry i bought it. Total waste of money!

The Repair Shampoo + Conditioner did not work well for me. They left my hair with tangles and they did not seem to condition my hair at all. eSalon doesn't accept returns, so I threw it away. What a waste.

I probably just chose the wrong product. I love the smell and texture of this shampoo and conditioner, but my hair isn't as conditioned as I thought it would be. Tends to be more fuzzy with this.

I have straight thick hair and these products made me look terrible. The shampoo really dried up my hair and the conditioner failed to soften and untangle them. I would not recommend, Might work for others

I am very disappointed in this product. I was expecting a deep moisturizing and detangleing result. I can feel how a moisturizer goes once I put it on, this did not feel right. It was hard to comb out and left my hair stacticie and dry. The classic conditioner is much better. I just wanted something like the classic but stronger, more detangling and moisturizing. When the conditioner is on I want it to feel like slime. I love the color and other products, this is the first one that I'm not crazy about.

I too was excited to get this, hoping it'd tame my over-colored, bleached & recolored hair, but I'm still left with frizzy, dry hair. I was also really bummed about the scent. I love the scent of the packets that come with my color & assumed this would be the same, but it's very, very subtle. I am ordering the moisture shampoo & conditioner with my next order & truly hope I like its scent better & that it actually does something for my dry, frizzy hair that should be soft waves. Again, it's a shampoo & conditioner but don't see much repairing going on. If the other doesn't moisturize or smell like the mini ones, may have to figure out which one that is.

Did not like this at all. Shampoo felt like it was still in my hair after rinsing several times and the conditioner smelled terrible and did not contribute any moisture to my strands. I gave both bottles away after using them twice. The person I gave them to did not like them either.

This left my color-treated hair feeling even more dry and stiff. I have been using this for more than a week to wait to review it. I thought it would be easy to get my shampoo from here as I am getting my color from esalon as well, but unfortunately, these shampoo and conditioners are not it. Very unhappy with these products.

I tried this duo thinking it would be great to keep my hair feeling healthy but I ended up with a scalp full of tiny scabs, which is the opposite of healthy feeling hair. I now have this shampoo and another expensive autoshipped set as well that are unusable. I'm disappointed because I really like the colour care shampoo that comes with my colour orders.

Der Geruch ist nicht besonders angenehm, aber das hätte ich noch akzeptiert. Meine Haare sind trockener geworden. Ich habe das Duo 14 Tage benutzt und alle zwei Tage meine Haare damit gewaschen. Leider kommt auch noch eine allergische Hautreaktion hinzu. Da ich das Duo unter der Dusche benutze, traten an Schulter, Armen und Hüfte große rote juckende Flecken auf. Nach Absetzen des Duos ist alles wieder ok.

I understand that disodium laureth sulfosuccinate and sodium lauryl sulfoacetate are questionable ingredients for color treated hair. Although they aren’t ‘sulfates’ and are supposed to be ‘less harsh’, they’re not touted as great ingredients. I’m surprised to see these ingredients in the products being offered here.

Sadly I didn’t enjoy this product, I didn’t find it to be any different than that I would buy off the shelf.
My hair didn’t feel great and there was no shine.

I originally wanted the Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner. Since it wasn't available, I opted for the Repair pair.

I decided to try this repair duo as I love the classic shampoo and conditioner..but this one disappointed me as its a repair product but left my hair in worse condition than before i used it...i have fine hair and it's in decent condition but I figured if the classic leaves my hair shiny and soft..the repair would be even better...i was wrong..it left it feeling coarse and greasy...so I tried using less product the next time and it was not enough to detangle it and still left it with some sort of greasy residue and the texture wasn't anything like what the classic shampoo and conditioner left me with...the classic is amazing..this one I need to remove from my autoship.

I neither like nor dislike these products, since I was really wanting the moisture pair and it wasnt available I used this and it was ok.

Sadly, this shampoo/conditioner duo did not help my hair at all. I just use the Suave Repair Shampoo/Conditioner now. This stuff just made my hair seem really dried out and frizzied up. Didn't work!

Repair shampoo and conditioner, while a very nice product, is too heavy for my fine hair. The shampoo left my hair looking oily. The conditioner was good if I could avoid getting it anywhere but the ends.

I bought this shampoo and conditioner to help restore some life to my very dry hair. I wash my hair every 3 days and I noticed no difference using this duo. At the suggestion of my hairstylist, I am going to try a co-wash or just rinse and use a conditioner alone. I am trying eSalon co-wash now.

This is the first time I’ve used a shampoo from ESalon. The shampoo left my hair feeling greasy and limp, unfortunately. Love the color, though, so I’ll stick with that!

I noticed my hair getting really dry and thin with the winter setting in so got this shampoo/cond set. Hydrating sets usually weigh down my hair too much. I am underwhelmed so far. Shampoo is nice and leaves hair clean, but conditioner is not giving me the effect I was looking for (thirsty hair wants more:-)). It is very thick and does not feel as emolliating enough. My hair feels just as frizzy, although not as bad as before. My biggest qualm is the smell - it is way too strong, I constantly feel like someone is standing next to me. I am sensitive to smells in general, and not used to have such strong smell around me, feeling it on me is even more disturbing. Thankfully, I do not have allergic reaction to it, like to some others, but it is still too intrusive for me.

These smell great and lather up nicely but I see no difference in these products vs any other regular shampoo. I have dry hair that coloring doesn’t help, so I thought this may help soften my texture but sadly it does not. I have used this for a few weeks now and see no noticeable difference.

I have been using this shampoo and conditioner since dying my hair two weeks ago (first time dying my hair with e-salon). Since using this my hair is faded, stringy looking and has a feel like dry/course-like texture. For my hair I will not buy this again.

Sulfate is an ingredient that gives shampoo it's suds, but it can be drying and strip your hair of color. Con este pack esperas que tu cabello quede sedoso y limpio. Y la verdad es que me decepcionó. El champú se nota que limpia el cuero cabelludo y el cabello, mas el acondicionador realmente no hace su labor y hay que usar demasiado producto para tan siquiera conseguir un efecto parecido al deseado. No me suelo lavar el cabello mas que una o dos veces por semana y la sensación NO es la deseada.

The shampoo is silky and lathers very well BUT for a repair conditioner it feels awful. Almost like an ingredient is missing. Most conditioners feel silky as you apply to your hair, when you rinse, and afterwards BUT not this repair conditioner. Horrible. This is the only product I've been dissatisfied with and will not ever purchase it again - not worth the cost at all!

I love the smell but the product really did not work with my hair. My hair was very dry and tangled after using this product and I had to recondition with my matrix conditioner to get my hair soft again

I love my customized hair color, however I’m not a fan of the shampoo and conditioner. I feel like it leaves my hair very dry and it’s to purfumey (not sure if that’s a word) for my sensitive nose. Again I LOVE their hair coloring line and will continue to use that, but I don’t think I’ll order the shampoo or conditioner again.

On the top of my list for shampoo/conditioner is the smell. Upon reading other reviews, people seemed to like the smell of this product, however, my smell meter gives it a D. As fair as how it leaves my hair, I am very disappointed. It does not seem to do anything that other shampoos & conditioners do. Even though I had at least half a bottle of each left, I threw the rest out.

The fragrance in this duo is strong and stays on my hair for days. I do not like it at all and will never buy again. Why not just produce a clean product free of fragrances?!

Chemical odour and residue

Smells as if you’ve just freshly coloured your hair (chemical odour) and left hair feeling as if you hadn’t actually fully rinse the shampoo (although I even got back into the shower afterward for another rinse, just to make sure). It did seem to be very moisturizing though (the only reason why it got two stars instead of one), but I threw it out after using it for a couple days, as I really didn’t like the way it left my hair feeling and smelling.

While these products had a nice scent, I honestly didn’t notice a difference in my hair by using these from another shampoo-conditioner brand for colored hair!

Not what I'd hoped for Colour Care Products

I purchased this shampoo/conditioner duo with my first hair-colour order hoping that it would provide the gentle cleaning needed for colour-treated hair, and that since it was from the same company might work better with the colour.
I had to stop using it in pretty short order. Unfortunately, I think e-colour itself is pretty hard on my hair to begin with, and the shampoo/conditioner just magnified the issues I've been having. The shampoo quickly turned my hair into dry fly-away straw, and my once healthy hair completely lost it's shine, body and texture. It also did not prevent the colour from fading (it lost its lustre very quickly), so I decided to just switch to some gentler salon brands instead. Discontinuing the shampoo/conditioner definitely helped improve things, but my hair's still hurting.
Cannot recommend based on my experience. It left my hair feeling awful.

My hair is extremely dry. Not from processing or from poor care. I take very good care of my skin and hair. I get much better results from drug store brands and will return to those
