No Noticeable Improvement

I have used this a few times now and it doesn't seem to work into my hair well where I have to apply a lot just to be able to comb it through. Even after leaving it on for 5+ minutes, my hair feels tangled. There haven't been any noticeable results yet but I'll finish the bottle off and see if this changes.

I can find less expensive conditioner at Walmart that is at least if not more nourishing than this proved to be. I used it about 3 times and then threw the rest away and went back to what I had used before.

The shampoo isn’t too bad but the conditioner is terrible. I thought it would be salon quality but it really does not provide any conditioning. I can’t even describe the texture it gives my hair when I put it in my hair. And the smell is terrible. So bummed that is isn’t better. I do, however, love the hair color! So I feel bad about leaving this review. Just not happy about money spent on the shampoo and conditioner.

I was so excited to try this product after reading all the wonderful reviews but I have been using this Repair Shampoo for almost one month now and my hair looks and feels worse! It is so dry and still very damaged. I also don't like how the bottles are so small it seems like you go through it so fast before you have to order more! I wish it would have worked for me.

I can not even use this conditioner as a stand alone conditioner. I have to use my normal conditioner plus this one or the snarles are unbelievable and my hair was soooo dry. I love the color esalon puts out but the conditioners, shampoos, and hair masks and hydrators need help.

I never thought I'd say this about any esalon product, but I agree with some of the other reviews, this feels like a cheap conditioner. I've had to use loads of it and even then my hair feels like straw and needs to be saved by loads of leave in product. I have been promoting esalon to anyone & everyone since 2016, but these new conditioners are not worth the money, bring back the original formulas please.

I decided to try this shampoo and conditioner combo hoping it would work better then my previous shampoo and conditioner. It does not work well at all with my hair. It makes it feel dry, brittle and fly away. The classic shampoo and conditioner that come with my color kit works much better with my hair I think I will try those.

this was more of a total stripping shampoo than a repair for me. I had to use an Quidad Oil Shampoo after this one to replace all of the natural oils stripped from my hair. will never use again, unless there is a need for a total strip of my hair. Didn't even try Conditioner since shampoo was so awful.

Color doesn't cover grays

Color has been adjusted twice and it still doesn't cover the gray roots. The products I used from Sallys always worked. What is wrong with this hair color? It's very frustrating because now I have to go to work again with half colored roots. They are not brown -- they are light gold and look terrible. I guess if this can't be fixed I'll save my money and go back to what works. I ordered a bunch of other stuff too -- hair mask, color tint, color camo, dry shampoo -- I just hope those items work as advertised. The color is great where it actually shows up -- but the roots are terrible.

This mat be great for many hair types, but I did not care for it at all. If there had been a trial size or sample first, i'd never have bought this. It was expensive and I did not like the feel of it or how my hair felt or looked after using it. It might be amazing for someone, but not for me.

I ordered this as it popped up when placing my order. Thought I was getting same moisturizing conditioner as before. I love the moisture conditioner but do not like the repair. Would of thought it would be good but tangled my hair. Would like to return unopened bottles (2).

I love the shampoo and conditioner that come in my coloring kit, so I was a bit disappointed by the feel of my hair after cleansing and conditioning with the repair set. Also the smell is less than desirable.

I gave this stuff a shot and it made my hair feel good at first. After about a week it wasn’t feeling the same it didn’t feel light and fluffy but weighed down. This was after I decided to give it a shot even though it smells bad like melted plastic. I still have quite a bit left and I’ll use it but I won’t purchase it again.

I like the way these products give my volume, however, like most of the volume products I've used in the past, they are extremely drying to my hair. I don't see how they repair any damage. I won't be purchasing again.

For some reason, this does not work well with my hair. I love the classic conditioner, so I figured this would be good for winter dryness. It almost seemed more like a shampoo because my hair felt rough just after rinsing--almost like it does right after you rinse out hair color.

It did not give me the results I expected. My hair is fine and needs moisture. I did not like the scent of this product. For my type of hair, I would not recommend this product.

Made my hair very coarse and frizzy. I discontinued use after first week of using and resorted to purchasing a drugstore brand sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. Will try hydration duo this shipment.

For the same reason as I didn't find value in the repair conditioner.. I don't feel my hair benefited in much repair. Still frizzy and breakage. I find the straight hair shampoo leaves my hair in better condition.

The consistency of this conditioner is very thin. It did nothing for my hair. It was like I didn't use a condtioner at all.

I read the reviews and really thought this would be good match for my hair. All it seemed to do is suck all the moisture out of my hair. I could tell before I even rinsed it out. I tried it again and had the same result. I won't be using this again.

This conditioner was very disappointing. I have very thick curly hair and need a conditioner with substance. Even using a 50 Cent piece size dollop it was difficult to disperse through my hair and it was not moisturizing enough. I had to use twice as much leave in conditioner to compensate. I typically use Cat Walk or Ouidad products and Dove for curly hair when in a pinch. All of those are better than the repair conditioner.

I didn't find it gave me the results that my hair color order shampoo and conditioner did....I maybe am ordering the wrong product that they send you to use after you color your hair? It didn't smell the same either...im not sure ill order again.I still love my hair coloring product though!

Gag worthy scent

I haven't read all the reviews, but based on the few I glanced over, I am wondering if I got a skunked bottle of shampoo. Mine smells like faintly floral Crisco. It's got this rancid oil smell that seriously makes me gag. I'm trying to use it anyway since it wasn't cheap (the conditioner doesn't have the same offensive odor, thank goodness), but I will never buy it again. Like I said, I can't say either way if it's good shampoo. I mean, I guess my hair looks fine after I use it, but no different than any of my other shampoos that don't make me want to vomit in the shower.

Works well but has an awful smell that the other products do not have. I have to wash with another shampoo after to get out the smell.

Opening of bottle needlessly larger...than the prior version, before the re-branding. So, are you trying to get people to use too much product fori increased orders? Because too much comes out if u r not careful!

I really like the color but it seems to wash away after 2 weeks. Its not what I expected. I wish it was since it looks nice for like 2 weeks then its dull and I just don't like it. I give up. Ill just go back to the salon at least it will last a few more weeks.

I purchased the repair shampoo after my wonderful experience at my original introduction session. I loved the way it felt in my hair. I have naturally curly 3B-ish type hair. About 3 weeks into using it, I developed lots of build up and am having to use weekly ACV rinses to get my hair and scalp back on track. I ended up using it as hand soap. Very expensive hand soap. I was so bummed!

I wish you had never changed this product. The new formula now leaves my hair feeling like straw. Unfortunately I have several bottles to get through, I am seriously debating about throwing them away but that’s a lot of money. I loved the original product that I used for 2 years. To find something that keeps my hair as healthy as the original formula was so difficult. Very disappointed.

What happened to my regular conditioner. This left my hair dry and brittle . Second time I used it I used more than normal to get the soft feeling that I used to get. But it made my hair dull and lifeless. I won't be ordering this product again.

This was the first time I bought products in the new packaging. When I opened the box the shampoo and conditioner had leaked all over everything which is strange because they were in a bag and the bottles were not punctured. Are you using these new bottles to save cost? It’s not worth it to have to deal with this mess.

When I opened the box the product had leaked all over the place. The box itself was not dented and neither was the bottle of product. It was a mess to clean it all off the other items I purchased.

Used along with the repair shampoo. Found my hair needed quite a lot, before I could comb it through, and felt my hair wasn't as conditioned as I would like. I had to wash my hair every other day, as it went flat and greasy, not sure if it was the conditioner, I liked the shampoo, not sure about the conditioner.

This shampoo makes my hair dry as hay. Even the shampoo packet that comes with the dye kit leaves my hair horribly dry. I thought the repair condioner would counteract the effects of the shampoo, but no. It was just as bad. These products were a complete fail for me. Drug store shampoo/conditioner worked better than this.

I used this conditioner twice. It doesn’t add moisture hardly at all. I have to use a lot of leave-in conditioner after using this product to make my hair feel normal. Wouldn’t recommend.

I have bought this conditioner previously but when I used this new bottle, something changed. It doesn't detangle my hair like it did before and my hair isn't as soft. Not sure if there was a formula change with the packaging change but I am disappointed because I thought I had finally found a product that was great...and then something changed.

Like most of the add-on products this bottle is too small. My hair is long & I went thru this bottle in less than 2 weeks, and I don’t even wash my hair everyday.
