Definitely better than box dyeI ordered a custom colour to try to get a bit closer to my natural dark ash blonde/light ash brown, as a lot of store bought dyes, regardless of being neutral or ash, leave a lot of warmth (red and gold tones) in my hair. I ordered a permanent light ash brown from esalon and the kit arrived quickly and the presentation was lovely, with very clear instructions. I was a little concerned that the instructions had said to apply to my roots first to process for 20 minutes and then only to my mid lengths and ends for 5 minutes, but I followed these directions and the end result was great with even coverage. The dye washed out well leaving my hair in a good condition and I was very happy with the result. If I re-order I will ask for more 'ash' to be added as 5 weeks later the colour has faded with more warmth showing through again, but nothing a red neutralising toner can't fix (esalons Soft Red Neutraliser is great for this). I'm yet to come across any any hair dye, professional or otherwise, that doesn't fade over time so don't let that put you off. Overall I was very pleased with the service and colour - the personalisation, especially of the instructions, is great. Bonus points that the kit comes with everything you need including a decent pair of gloves and not those bag-like ones you get in store bought box dyes. ok for a touch upI was rather unhappy receiving only the root touch up kit (I was previously given color sets which contained bottles for my roots and ends). My color has a heavy red/violet tint to it so it fades and with REALLY long hair I prefer to color all of my hair to help refresh the red/violet tone. Volkommen enttäuscht 🥺Ich habe eine wunderschöne Farbe ausgesucht aber meine Haare sind beim Ansatz braun und die Länge einfach rot-rot geworden... weit weg von der schönen Farbe, die ich mir gewünscht habe.
