not permanentMy grays were completely showing after only 2 washes. Every time I wash my hair, the color comes out (my color is blue/black, so image that all of the shower!). Still a little too red....Know red is hard to cover. Really want to get away from red hair and requested a darker brown but got a light brown that on top of red made a mid auburn color. StainingThe color is flat and the staining on my scalp is unacceptable. I have been coloring my hair at home for years and have never experienced anything like this. No gray coveredThis product did not cover the gray roots in my hair virtually at all. The kit itself itself is terrific idea but if it does not cover gray at all then it isn't worth much. Even if it did a great job of covering the gray with a tone that is similar to my hair color, I am not certain that it is affordable to most at $20 plus $5 shipping. Still need work on the stubborn grayThe 2nd time around the color was customized and it did justiced. However the 3rd one still the same as the very first one did not cover the gray well. I still see my gray. I did follow instructions as it indicated in the booklet. Please adjust appropriately like the second one. I was happy with that.
