Hair ColorThe permanent color I ordered and applied (exactly according to the directions that came with it) lasted about 2 weeks before it all faded out and all my gray was exposed again. My daughter actually uses a drugstore semi-permanent color on her hair that lasts for a few months! This was the first time coloring my hair, and I expected much more from a permanent hair color. eSalon did a nice job matching my color....it just didn't last. They also offered a free bottle of hair color to fix my color loss, but I don't need that fuss. So, I have decided to just embrace my gray! disappointedI ordered the color I wanted and it colored close to what I wanted but it did not color my roots at all. I contacted them and asked what I could do and they told me that they would get back to me when it was time for me to reorder and that I would have to recolor my hair in 3 weeks. Color Made Just for MeI don't like giving this a 3, as the color matched perfectly and it looked fabulous. It just didn't cover the grays I was hoping to cover. If someone said I see you've got a gray hair, I would be shocked! At 44 I don't have that many and I only see them when I'm up close and personal with my hair in the mirror. So I chose the lowest setting for gray coverage. Unfortunately, it didn't cover the grays at all! But the color sat on those gray hairs longer than any other part of my hair. I was perplexed. ColorUnsure what the reason was on the color this time... It made my hair color very burgundy like fake looking. First time ever. This is my 3rd batch and prior applications were great!!! Excellent hair colorWhen they say they design the color for you , they mean it. I suggested what color I wanted my hair, and sent a picture so they could see it, this was a couple years ago. The color was perfect, and it lasts longer than when I have my hair colored at the salon. a few months ago I deicded I wanted a shade just a teeny bit darker. They made the new formula and I tried it and it is exactly what i wanted. If I had not been satisfied, it could be returned, they want you to be happy with your color. I have my hair professionally colored every 6 weeks since I have highlights and not up to doing those myself. After about 2 weeks, the roots are showing. I have mixed 1/2 of the product and colored the roots and it matches perfectly. I do not keep mixed product, I just use 1/2 of each bottle and it has worked very well over the years. I love that they enclose pairs of disposable gloves and they are very substantial gloves that fit very well. My first order I received clips, a nice vinyl cape, a packet of shampoo and conditioner that they recommend, a packet of stain guard and a stain cleaner to wipe off any stains on your skin., and a mixing bowl and professional type brush to put color on. Now, this was with the first order. Now when I get my order, I still receive with it the gloves, the shampoo and conditioner packets, the pairs of gloves, the stain guard and stain remover . I highly recommend this hair coloring kit. You cannot lose since they will correct the color if you are not completely satisfied. As I said I have been ordering it for several years and have it set up to ship every 6 weeks.
