I've tried a product like this before however what really sets this apart is the tiny comb at the other end, I didnt realize how much of a difference it really makes.

Great for emergencies when you just don't have time to color before an event. Does not match exactly but in a pinch, looks great for a temporary color.

It is great to have a touch up that you know will work with your color. I have ordered this a few times, and recently, the applicator seems to have changed to a longer wand. That makes for a somewhat messy application. I remedied this problem by using an old toothbrush to blend the color on my roots.

I read directions every time before I use a new product. So I followed the instructions. While it did cover the grays it was dark and not water/sweatproof. It also left a residue on my hair that was matted and sticky. So the next time I used it on clean dry hair I used a very small amt. made sure I combed it thru. Same thing again...

This worked so well, it hid my roots until I could get hair colored. Is a little icky on but this is a small price to pay to not have the "skunk" look!

This one is definitely easier to use than the spray; however, as with the touch ups I have tried, I'm not excited about the texture it leave. But it looks good and will wash out easily.

Although it leaves my hair a little bit stiff (like adding too much hair paste), overall it covers the early gray sprouting from my scalp and goes on like mascara. I like it and will continue to use and purchase.

Can't ever run out of this. I am 60 y/o next month and I am NOT ready to go gray. I am petrified of how washed out I will look !!!!!! Would love a slightly bigger tube :-)

I love Color Kiss, but am very upset to find out it is being discontinued! It will be replaced by Cover Story, which has far fewer color options. I reluctantly agreed to try it, even though I am totally against aerosol sprays. Just when I find something I love, it's taken away.

I have to say, this product is my least favorite. Probably because I'm a messer and I end up with product on everything. My curly hair does not like the applicator. I'm sure it's gr8 for straight hair. The color is gr8 and I do use it when I'm stuck. Glad to have it when I'm between colorings

I love the easy application & how close the color matches & coverge. However, I have naturally curly hair, & the brush/comb combination tends to get tangled up in my hair. It's probably more my hair than the utensil, Idk.

Love the idea behind this temporary hair color but really dislike the new brush applicator! The old design was great but this current design puts too much in one spot and the wider teeth part makes it seem goopy. My hair also gets tangled on it.
Would LOVE for you to go back to the old design which was more of a mascara brush type of applicator! Also the lid on the brush side slides off while applying the color.

So about two weeks after getting a fresh dye job the roots will start to show .. and sadly pretty obvious on me due to a clashing dark blonde and bright coppery red.
Pros:
- Matches absolutely perfect with my dyed hair , thank goodness
- Easy to apply
- Blends on pretty easily into the hair
Cons:
- Can be goopy and can spill quite easily if not careful
- Leaves a ' grimy' texture and can be hard to wash out
Overall, I do like this product... I wouldn't use it daily due to the texture it leaves in my hair but it conceals my roots perfectly.

This product is like a good friend - there when I need it, good when I don't, and hides all my shortcomings. I've never had a problem with it drying up, or washing off; it seems to stay put quite well until I wash it out. Only two small complaints: it's a bit stiff once it's in my hair, and the paint on the tube flakes off. But even given these shortcomings, it's light-years ahead of anything else I've tried.

I was afraid it might be sticky, ut after it dried on my WHITE roots, I brushed through it and it felt fine. The next day it was stil covering, and still didn't feel like I thought a mascara would.

I like how well it blends and covers my gray roots. The mascara type wand is a bit awkward to use. It gets tangled with longer hair and gets the product on more than the roots.
I would like to see it as more of a little wide stiff brush, similar to the one that comes in the hair coloring startup kit. For me it would be easier to apply.

Would prefer this to be a marker type pen as opposed to mascara wand as difficult to apply at times. The solution dries hard. I'd prefer it to keep hair soft although covers well.

I used the touch up at around 4 weeks, when I am not quite ready to color, to hide the little spot of white that comes up on my hairline. Its a little dark. Wish it came in more shades

A few weeks before your next color you may start to have roots that are just a tad bit annoying...those pesky gray hairs that pop up and make you look like you need to color, but it's not time to fully color yet. That's when the temporary Root Touch-Up works. Just a swipe of color right where you need it. If you wash your hair every other day-it lasts even longer...Great product!

My Haircolor stays true to color with the help of the enhancing treatment but those gray fast growing little hairs around my face need this extra help. The wand makes application easy and accurate and helps it to blend in. The only thing I'm not crazy about is it leaves the hair really tacky with a really stiff texture. I guess for a quick fix for a night out its better than being gray.

I love the eSalon Root Touch Up. The color matches your custom color perfectly. My only complaint is it took be a while to get the hang of using the wand. I would like to better if the brush/comb was available to use instead of the wand. Otherwise it's super easy to use.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is so small for the price. It really works nice. Very easy to apply.
The light brown worked great for my hair color. I have quite a bit of gray and was not sure if light brown would be dark enough
but it was.

This is a great product to have, if you are in between coloring's and don't have time to color again. It works just like a mascara does, only this is for the hair.
I find that it works best when I wear my hair up in a huge wad on top of my head and my bangs are pulled back, showing my hair line.
The only thing I found with this, that I didn't care for, is after it dries, it makes it a little harder to get a brush or comb through your hair, that you applied this, but that is not a huge issue. Just have to be a touch more attentive to that spot.
It really does great for blending in the new growth at the roots, before time to recolor again, if you are running short on time.
This is a really great "touch-up" on the go, when you can't get around to coloring your hair again.

I admit when I first saw this product I thought it was weird. But I noticed I was drying out my hair by coloring too much. Even if I'm only coloring my roots, it's still a lot of coloring. Not very convenient either. My hair is gray in one spot in the front so I use this like mascara to touch up that area so I can hold off on coloring for another week or so. It actually blends really well.

I thought the tiny wand made it very hard to work with for touch ups. I used it a few times then threw away the rest of it. I didn’t think it was worth buying, too hard to use, it took a long time to get in the right place. Not worth it.

This item is horrible. I put it on my hair which caused my hair to stick together. When it was time to comb it out I almost ripped out my hair. The color stood out worse than if I had just left the grey alone. I would never buy this or recommend it.

It is great in terms of lasting. But it is difficult to use on my long hair. Wand gets tangled up, rips my hair out, and i end up with color all over my cheeks and forehead (remember I said it was long lasting so its a problem).

I made the mistake of adding this to my plan thinking that like all other products it would be matched to my color. It was not. In addition it is very messy and stains. Really wish I'd given this a pass.

Too dark for my hair. I can’t use it. This was the only color listed to purchase. Which they had dark blonde or light brown.

I bought this with high hopes as I get a few stray grays here and there between coloring. I've used the Camo-Mist with great success but wanted more control during application. I was shocked! It went on way too thick - like clumpy mascara - heavy. When it finally dried - the coverage was AMAZING until I ran my hands through it. I'm constantly pushing hair behind my ears or away from my face and my hands were COVERED in color every time I touched my hair. I bought two tubes of this stuff... not what I expected from eSalon. Their products are almost always wonderful. I give this a hard pass.

Terrible product that left my hair feeling just gross

I’ve bought loads of different eSalon products and I’ve loved most of them. The camo wand is a glaring exception. This made my hair feel really weird. It’s hard to describe it—it was stiff, almost waxy. To make matters worse, my hair was stiff even after I shampooed, conditioned, and dried it. It didn’t feel truly clean until the next time I washed it. On top of that, I ordered this but didn’t use it right away so I think I missed the return window, too. Ugh.

This product is not fit for purpose as it sprays everywhere & consequently completely ruined my top! It is not easy to use & appears to be a glorified mascara. Very expensive mistake to make.

I found this to be drying and stiff. However, the color was stunningly beautiful, I just couldn't use it for my roots. Maybe I received an older product or something and should've spoken up sooner directly. My apologies.

I didn’t like the camo wand much. It’s like mascara in a tube. It takes a while to apply since you have to be really accurate when you put it on. It’s all preference, I just prefer the camo mist . I have poor vision without my glasses and have to peer over the tops of them to see where I need to put it when my head is down. It takes time and patience to put on. definitely is not as easy application as Camo Mist. It’s a good product but not for me.
